We truly enjoyed our stay at the Colonial Inn. The room was cozy. If you are looking for a larger more modern hotel you should stay at the Best Western across the street from the Prison. The history behind the Inn was so interesting. Everyone who worked at the Inn was very happy and pleasant to interact with.

Went to visit our friend who goes to Boston University for school on very short notice. This place was only about a 20 minute drive from the campus, which was very reasonable. If only it was near public transportation to get into the city because parking near Boston University is terrible.

We had to leave our home in Rochester, NY at 2 AM to get ahead of big storm hitting NY and New England the day before Thanksgiving 2014. Staff let us check in early and said several other guests were in the same predicament. Housekeeping staff was able to get rooms ready to accommodate all. Major kudos for that! Room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast buffet was excellent and staff was polite. Indoor pool was nice and big. We got a chance to swim with our kids twice during stay. It is 2 miles from a senior living community where my mother moved this past summer. Also right near Burlington Mall and new Wegmans supermarket. Doubt we could find a better hotel for the same price. This will be the only place we stay on future visits.
