Mini VacationPosted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: the refrigerator and microwave in the room
Cons: the rooms could be updated and the breakfast could be better
Location: It was near several shopping centers and a good many places to eat. It was right off of 316 and not that far from I-85. We went for Medieval Times.
We went down to go to the Medieval Times castle and show. We stayed for 2 nights. The room was clean but much in need of an update. The staff was helpful and courteous. However they seemed to want to be stingy with the towels. I guess they were concerned with theft but the towels were too small and thin to want to steal. It was nice having the refrigerator and microwave in the room. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

The room was comfortable and adequate for my needs. I was on a very busy business trip and just needed a place to shower and sleep. The in room Wi-Fi and cable tv were major pluses. I would definitely stay here again.

Bad experiencePosted Feb 21, 2015 on Hotels
We went to the hotel because of the power outage and cold house. When we arrived the receptionist told us the person that turned on the heat wouldn't be there for a while and said we could turn on the heat. The room was very cold and there was a one inch space under the door where the wind and cold was rushing in. We turned the heat up high and went out to get a big beach towel to close the hole under the door. The room finally got warm but the bath had no heat except for the room heat and never got warm. This was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in many. I have used Hotels.com several times and this was the first time I got a really bad room. I will say that all the hotels in the area were full due to the ice storm and power outages. We would not have stayed here otherwise.

Poor ServicePosted Jan 7, 2015 on Hotels
At checkin, the clerks were distracted by their own kids running around and hollering in the office area and behind the counter. We called for extra bath towels and was told that we had to come to the office to get them. I do not plan to stay at this particular hotel again.
