Good hotel but far from the track and town

Pros: Front desk staff and restaurant on site were great.
Cons: Too far from train, track and old town which was wonderful.
Location: St. Julian Cathedral and the ancient but still functional old town is amazing and not to be missed. Of course the site of the 24 hour race and museum.
Staff were excellent! We enjoyed a very nice meal on site. The room was modern, sparse, but clean and functional.

A good hotel for a short stay

Pros: Easy to find coming off the Autoroute, plenty of parking, more than adequate facilities and very reasonably priced.
Cons: Cannot think of anything significant.
Location: We were only stopping at Le Mans en-route back from the Dordogne to Le Touquet, so had no opportunity to 'explore' the city etc.
The hotel was very easy to locate and had plenty of on-site parking space. The room was good for the price and perfectly adequate for a 1 or 2 night stay.Being out-of-town we opted to have dinner and breakfast there and both of these were reasonably priced and more than satisfactory.

Perfect stop-over

I think the Kyriad hotels are the equivalent to Premier Inn style accommodation. The room was adequate, especially for an overnight stay: clean, with a comfortable bed and pillows; tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary mineral water, shower gel, soap and shampoo. It was quite warm when we stayed at Le Mans and so air conditioning was sorely missed. The hotel's location was quiet so leaving a window open was an option. We had evening meal in the hotel which was really lovely, much better than many hotel restaurants in the UK. Staff were friendly and helpful and could speak English. It was a 30 minute walk to the centre of Le Mans, a town well worth visiting, especially the old part. Would definitely stay there again: we had just been to the 24 hour endurance race and were heading for Cherbourg the following day - an easy onward journey.

Two nights two different experiences overall poor

We stayed on two separate nights at this hotel, a Monday & a Thursday night. The first night we had a positive experience, the room was clean & comfortable. We had dinner & breakfast and the food was good with good service from the restaurant. On the second occasion however we had to move room and still had to endure a room with a bathroom that had unpleasant drain like smell. On the second occasion when we walked into the room it had a strong smell of paint. We stayed a few minutes in the room before deciding we couldn't sleep in a room with such a strong smell. We went to reception and were given another room, only to find on entering it it was a twin room and it also smelled odd. We were then given a double room which although did not smell of paint it had an odour problem with the drains of the bathroom. We decided to stay there as it was late and as it was the third room we had been given. On checking out when asked by reception whether we had a pleasant stay we informed them of our experience and the receptionist said its been two months since the room had been painted but said nothing about the drain smell. Neither of the reception staff offered any apology at all, for our poor experience or offered any concession the only focus for them appeared to be to process the card payment. This customer concern was poorly received & handled. The hotel also does not provide an itemised bill from the restaurant but gives a single sum so its difficult to check its accuracy.

nice hotel on way back from Spain

Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Clean rooms, comfortable bed and plenty of towels, soaps etc.
Cons: Clearer directions
This is a brand new hotel, very friendly staff with lots of free, secure parking, essential on your way back from holiday with a fully loaded car. But it is not easy to find, we followed the directions on the hotel website which appeared very straightforward and got completely lost. Found it eventually thanks to Sat Nav. We were expecting the usual Kyriad Dinner menu which includes super value Buffet starters and desserts but this did not have a buffet and the menu was limited, and quite expensive. Breakfast was excellent.
