This s place is a dump. Filthy carpets, stained chairs, nicked up walls. The place looks like an 80’s roadside motel from the states that someone bought and attempt a facelift on. The lobby area is nice but the rest is crap. The hotel is located in an industrial area and boast a formidable fence and Elyria gate system to enter their grounds. We were truly taken aback after having spent several days in Villages in Western France. I wouldn’t even recommend this place to my ex wife! (Well, maybe!)

Novotel generally of d high standard with a pool and a good restaurant in a quiet area of south LeMans with private parking . However lift was out of order, stairwell was incredibly smelly and room was quite smelly. Breakfast service was a lower standard than usual with slow table clearing service even at the end of the breakfast period. There is an amazing bakery La Feuilette about half a mile from the hotel providing alternatives to the paid for breakfast. Novotels normally high standards were slipping a bit on this occasion, but on balance still a great stopover midway between southern France and Calais Eurotunnel.

Great facilities and gentleman that checked us in was really nice. The power cut ruined our stay as we were all sat in bed for a family movie and the power was lost on the 3rd floor for just over an hour.

Hotel room contained items from previous guest including shower gels and jewellery (handed to receptionist). Bathroom clean and bed freshly made. No complaints there. Outside play area for children and outdoor pool free to use. Brasserie attached to the hotel very convenient for food and drinks. Play area for children indoors with games and books etc.

Couldn’t have been easier….
Simple, easy check in. Towels for the pool great, quiet room. Fantastic shower and toiletries. Great family stay as a stopover.

Property itself is great as very modern. The issue was the temperature in the room. As a family of 4, we had the window wide open which of course then kept us awake with noise outside and we had to have the fan on. It was unbearable and my 7 month was really struggling. Throughout the night I had to go and stand in the corridor to get some air. We were told we were not able to move rooms and all the rooms are like this.

Hotel is very reliable but the room was stuffy and I was unable to adjust the climatization in the room. Wi-Fi logs you out if you aren't actively using the internet so one is contently logging in over and over- a pain

Disappointing
Staff were pleasant enough but this Novotel is nowhere near the usual standard. The decor is dated, especially the rooms themselves, and the reception consists of someone with a laptop sat at the end of a long table. Stayed on 2nd floor with very strange (unpleasant) smell in the communal hallway. Novotels are normally much better than this one

Unfortunately despite us having paid in full for half board for a family of 4 prior to arrival, the arrival staff had been misinformed and were only expecting a meal booking for one adult. The staff did rectify this but it was an unnecessary stress after an 11 hour drive.

Wouldn’t bother
No one cares at this hotel, second time staying here, both times equally as bad, this time the hotel smelt bad, the room was dirty, there was a dirty sock taped over the smoke detector in the room, cleaners clearly can’t look up, aircon didn’t work, told reception & they clearly didn’t care or try & help, won’t bother again.
