Close to ski resort. Affordable

Posted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: Location and breakfast
Cons: Heating units could be updated
Location: Leadville and Ski Cooper are hard to beat
Stayed one night. Nothing fancy, but adequate. Rates are great for a ski vacation. It works well each year for my family

Close to Ski Cooper

Posted Mar 5, 2015
We only chose this hotel because it's a 9 minute drive to Ski Cooper. Shower was dirty upon arrival. There was a dead fish smell at 3am the first night! Breakfast has a waffle maker, so that was nice. Very pleasant staff.

The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean. I just had elephants staying above me! Hotel is just a little noisy with people traffic.

Was only in for one night, checking out real estate. Perfect for the purpose. Watched a couple of movies on free hbo, which was so nice considering at home I watch Disney Channel and espn.

Worst night's sleep ever...

Posted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: I cannot think of anything good about the place.
Location: Figure out what shenanigans are going on in the parking lot and in the hotel.
Where to start? My expectations for a hotel in this price range were not high going in. You get what you pay for. All I wanted was a bed to sleep in and a quick shower in the morning. What I got was a creepy night filled with disruptions and very little sleep. All was fine until 2:00 AM when the first car alarm - just outside my window - awoke me. This would happen half a dozen times between the hours of 2:00 AM and 4:00 AM - and it was a number of cars - not just one. Looking out the window, I saw a black truck running with the lights off, and after about ten minutes it pulled out of the lot onto the highway - only to return twenty minutes later - crunching loudly across the ice each time. Eventually the action moved inside - where someone was both banging on doors, but also shaking them trying to get one to open - including my door. This was followed by a loud argument in the hallway between a man and woman in Russian. (BTW the owners/caretakers of the hotel are Russian.) I don't know what goes on in that place, but you'll never catch me staying there again. I was exhausted from lack of sleep for the start of my vacation. I cannot recommend that anyone stay at this hotel.
