“Wonderful motel!”

This motel was wonderful! It's a quaint little place run by an Indian family, and they're very attentive to your needs. Not only do the rooms have a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and DirecTV, but they also provide dishes and composite hookups if you bring a DVD player or game system. I believe every room overlooks the river, and the whole place is nestled in the forest on a secluded road. I'm staying here every time I come to visit!

An older unit that could use a little upkeep. The room was clean and well supplied. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'll use it again.

“Best views in the Upper Valley and a bed too”

This small, family run place is very simple, clean and friendly. And, if you check in late, you wake up to view the beautiful Connecticut River from your window. No overnight accommodations in the Upper Valley have this view. The only thing comparable is the Great Stone Dwelling at Enfield Shaker Museum. But there you see lovely Mascoma Lake rather than the river. And the historic building is spectacular.

“Great Place Tucked Away"”

The motel was old but reasonably well kept up. We were there for a four night stay and they did not clean our room even once. We had to go get our own clean towels and supplies when we wanted them. The breakfast supplied was very good. The owner / manager always seemed 'grumpy' but was always helpful if we asked questions. We had two cars there and we were admonished by the manager because one of the other guests complained about paring both cars near the building - there were assigned spaces but we did not know this, the second car was supposed to be parked across the lot. Did not get a room with a view like we thought that we were getting - per the Expedia description of the motel.

“clean, cheap hotel with a nice view”

stayed in a bedroom with a king bed and a river view. the view was nice, as were the beds. there were several beetles and flying insects that managed to get into the room over the course of the night, though, which was a bit annoying, though perhaps expected, given that the hotel was nestled in the woods next to a river. overall, a good value for the money. free wifi and breakfast

“Don't judge a book by its cover”

When I first saw it I was disappointed but when I went inside my room I was pleasantly surprised. It was clean and pretty.

“Great Value and View”

The price was right and the view out my back window excellent. It's an old hotel, but they seem to keep it clean and working. There was internet access and a bit of breakfast. For the price it was a nice value.

Very nice basic accomodations for travelers. No problems. Helpful staff.

Can't wait to go back Sunset motel is in a nice location that is only 2 miles away from Dartmouth college. the hotel room is very clean and neat. there is a lake behind the hotel, an excellent view. the manager is a very nice man. my son and I both enjoyed stay there. the hotel rate is very good compared others. It's quite, simple, relax, and beutiful there. I wish I could go back sooner. Nancy, a physician
