Great stop to break up S. Cal. drive

Posted Jun 23, 2014
After a week in Southern CA, we spent the day in the Pomona area and wanted to be done with L.A. traffic before the long slog home the next day. This hotel at the bottom of the grapevine fit the bill nicely. We got in late & left early, but the indoor pool looked nice and the room was quite nice (included a decent-sized fridge). A definite plus was the hot breakfast (sausage patties, eggs, do-it-yourself waffles) the usual yogurt, toast, bagels, juice, etc. Price seemed a little steep for the middle of nowhere, but if you figure the cost of breakfast for a family of 4, you could do worse.

Okay for the price

Noisy with doors slamming all night long. Need to tame the automatic door closings. Pillows are not comfortable. Although all rooms are non-smoking, hallways reeked of cigarette smoke. Overall, okay for the price.

Clean, quiet and comfortable.

This is a good, basic hotel with friendly staff and the typical, basic (free) continental breakfast. Nothing fancy, but it provided a clean, quiet, and comfortable overnight accomodation that was reasonably priced.

Better than expected!

When I made the reservation and found out it was at a truck stop I almost cancelled it because I was a single female traveling alone. The manager assured me that I would be fine but if I got there and didn't want to stay he would refund my money. The hotel was great and I felt totally comfortable plus it is a huge brand new truck stop with a good variety of restaurants.

Loved the indoor pool

Posted Jan 18, 2011
This is a very nice motel. Lots of places to eat all within walking distance. Easy on and off the freeway. The indoor pool, spa and sauna were great for a winter night. We sat in the pool and watched the rain. It was great. The breakfast in the morning was very nice. I liked the waffles we made ourselves. Nice assortment of breakfast items. The staff were very friendly. We will stay here again.
