“Convienent to many things in Mt. Dora area”

The positives: Sara at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. We were looking to go out to the movies and she advised me as to where the closest theatre was, how to get there and printed the movies playing at the theatre. Continental breakfast was great. Convienence to downtown Mt. dora and Renninger's Market was very easy. Now the negatives: The refrigerator in our room was extremely loud enough that we had to turn it off in order to sleep. Also, because of sign ordinances, we had a terrible time finding the hotel coming up US 441 during the day. There is a small sign outside, but it is obstructed by the large trees in front of the property. If you book here, make sure you have a map with you of the location of the property. Otherwise, comfortable bed and clean room a plus.

“good choice for a family gathering”

We'd originally planned to stay at Lakeside Inn, but read such terrible reviews of how ill-maintained that place was, that we decided to book rooms at the Hampton Inn instead. That was a good decision. Even though the Hampton Inn isn't right in town, it was convenient to drive there (and even quicker to drive to the flea/antique market). We had a large group (15 people) and were able to gather in the Hampton Inn's breakfast area both in the morning for breakfast and in the evenings. Having a gathering area with lots of tables and chairs so we could sit and converse was great. We also appreciated that the hotel always had coffee and tea available in the breakfast area. Oh, and the free wifi!

“Pleasant surpise, in the area and the hotel!”

I was a little concerned when we pulled in that I would be bothered by road noise as the hotel is on a very busy road, but I never heard a thing. I rose early for a shower and didn't have to wait for the hot water, and of course the bed was delightful, just the right firmness with tons of pillows to prop when watching TV and reading. Staff was very helpful and breakfast was superb!

“Excellent experience”

Excellant hotel, clean and comfortable. Would stay there again. Close to Mt Dora and one of the largest flea market/antique mall we have seen.

“great hotel”

We enjoy staying a Hampton Inns as we have never been disappointed with their condition, staffing, or amenities. Always seem to be conveniently located for us, also.

“Nice place to stay. Will come again.”

A wonderful hotel on Route 441 outside of Mount Dora & backing up to a Deaf Institute. Very Quiet. Staff was competent. Room was cleaned nicely between 1st & 2nd night stay. Breakfast was plentiful & good. Wide choice of breakfasts ranging from cerel through scrambled eggs, & bagels.

“RetiredLEOfficer”

Recptionist was pleasant and check in was very quick. Hot tub outside by pool was nice on a somewhat cool April evening. Breakfast was excellent as always.

“My challenging trip to Mt. Dora”

My reception at the hotel was less than warm and no one offered to help me to my room or asked me if I needed assistance with my luggage. They had a job fair on Tuesday morning April 17th at the hotel, so we couldn't move at breakfast due to the crowds. There was no apology or assistance offered. Everyone from the job fair and others congregated outside the door to the pool to smoke, so you had to walk through a cloud of smoke to enter or exit the building. Wednesday April 18th I told the housekeeper, my bathroom faucet was leaking non-stop. Late that evening, I had black water pouring out of my sink faucet. I called the front desk numerous times without success and then I finally called the 800 number for reservations but they couldn't help me. I finally reached someone at the desk, explained my problem and asked for bottled water. I was told I'd have to wait, they were alone. They finally arrived 10-15 minutes later. The next morning a repairman showed up to fix the sink at 9am, luckily I was dressed to leave. I reported my problems again when I checked out and the clerk told me she knew, the man went up to fix it, No apology for the inconvenience, no comment she hopes it didn't bother me. I was disappointed. The bed linens were very nice surprise but the shower was VERY slippery and dark once the curtain was closed. Thank you for asking!
