Great one. We would definitely come back. We had a beautiful view with a balcony. The breakfasts were also good.

Location: Everything in The Villages us top notch.

Nice hotel but need new mattresses

Cons: Firmer mattresses.
We had 2 queen beds. One extremely sold mattress, killed my back, other was a little better but still quite soft. A friend left us guest passes at the front desk, however staff couldn't, find them indicating nothing was left for us. On day two we inquired again with a different staff member who opened up a different desk draw and found them. They need a better system.

Close to all the activities of the Square

Pros: Ok and food was ok as well
Cons: One light fixture 2 bulbs out tried to change plug to no avail, one fixture had loose lamp shade Room 303 fixtures near window
Location: Great
My experience at the Villages was very good, nice people and plenty to see and do

Ok but the wallpaper,, ouch!

The check in process was slow and hard to fathom why. Of the two people at the desk as my wife waited in line, one left without helping anyone and the other dwelled on the phone chatting. The hotel itself was pleasant although the pineapple wallpaper motif was offensive to the eyes. Room was pleasant and clean and service at breakfast buffet was excellent. The buffet itself was very good.

Motel 6 on the Lake

The Hotel is old, tired and shabby. The attitude of the staff is horrible - I suspect they have a major personnel problem. Two major things. (1) a $25 charge was made against the room with no notice or explanation. There's was no reason for the charge but when you contact the hotel (phone only) they just play dumb. (2) One of our credit cards number was stolen. Because of the timing of the subsequent charges and the location of those charges, the 'theft' could only have occurred at the front desk of the hotel. I don't know if it's front desk personnel or poor security. Given what we witnessed during the visit, either is very possible.

The agent checking you in should have notified you that we preauthorize the guest’s card each night for possible incidental charges. The charge will drop off since it is only a preauthorization. I am sorry that you believe your credit card was compromised during your stay. We take security of our guests very seriously. We work closely with the local police department and would like to assure you that we will act diligently to ensure your claim is fully investigated.
