On the flat south coast, Corfu's second-largest town of Lefkimmi is primarily farm-based, and is one of the few places in Greece where locals still use donkeys. Town life centers on the main square, backed by narrow streets filled with shops. A pretty canal is lined with boats and waterside tavernas, and runs to the sea. For contrast, the resort town of Kavos is 5 km away.
