“Good hotel, convenient to sporting grounds”

Would have been better if the restaurant had been open as that was one of the reasons we booked the hotel. Otherwise the hotel cleanliness and appearance was absolutely fine. Breakfast was ok, although the eggs tasted a bit odd.

“A Weekend Overnight Stay”

All in all, surprising. Location is very convenient for the football and rugby grounds and a short hop to town centre. Hotel is clean and comfortable as you would expect of a budget style place. Free parking is a bonus considering what others are charging. If the price is reasonable, worth an overnight stay.

Hotel was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Took my 7 month old baby and hotel was very child friendly. On the down side the breakfast was a bit disorganised but I would definately stay again.

Good value for money and convenient location with reasonable parking and free wifi available. Need to specify at time of booking/before arrival for sofa bed to be laid out for children or additional guests as rooms only have double beds. Also rooms do not have a safe or 'fridge' for those wishing to use such facilities.

I stayed for one night whilst on a business trip. The internet did not work on the night I arrived and although it did briefly the next morning, it did keep cutting out. I went to have a shower in the morning, but there was no water!!! I would have thought this was a basic necessity in a hotel, but after looking at some comments on trip advisor, this had happened before...which the lady on reception had then tried to deny, when another gentleman had explained this to her!! If it had only happened by accident on the day that I was there than that is something that cant be helped, but when it has happened on multiple occasions, surely by now they should have it sorted out!!

This is definitely the worst hotel I have stayed. Staff at the hotel is not able to see wrong as wrong, even after pointing out. Room first allotted to me was electrically unsafe. Initially the lights fail to come on and someone from the reception came to fix it; said it was the trip switch. Within four hours the room blew its fuse. It was unsafe to start with they, but they did not feel that it was wrong to allocate that room to someone. At 9pm with torch light we had to pack our luggage and move rooms. But things didn't get any better. The loo floor was leaking, with stagnant water coming from the tile joints, god knows what kind of water!! Too soft a bed sinking in the centre, because of which i did not get good night sleep, but i guess this is a bit individual. Breakfast was awful, plastic sausages, dried egg and bucket of baked beans- quite unappetizing hot breakfast. Even put me off it. Fruit no more than garnish. Cheap pastry and cereals. The hotel does not offer any food in the daytime. Do not expect anything from the breakfast. The restaurant at the back ( separate entrance likely separate people running it) has pub type food, slightly better than the rest of the hotel, but the rest of the rowdy crowd ruined that for us. Staff is droopy and is away with fairies. Overall worst ever hotel. Stay clear. Unsafe, poor standards and up keep. We chose it because of its location, but that was a mistake.
