I stayed for 1 night and arrive fairly late so, sadly, didn't have an opportunity to sample the very exciting-looking, gastropub style menu. Despite it being mid-week, the pub was quite busy with a low hum of conversation. I didn't stay for a drink while I checked in but the atmosphere seemed very pleasant. My room was lovely - exceptionally clean, bright, airy, fresh. It looks like it may have been recently renovated. The room was modern but also warm and inviting. The home bakes in a Kilner jar was a nice touch on the hostess tray. The room was very quiet with a view over the village green.
The bath towels were sumptuous! Pristine white, fluffy and even bigger than usual bath sheet size. It was lovely to envelope myself in one of the towels after a long, steaming hot shower.
At £65 including breakfast, I thought it was exceptional value for money and I'd love to stay here again.

I stayed here recently whilst on a training course at Loughborough University. The restaurant was a little tricky to find due to some roads being closed and a one-way system being in operation but the pre-stay information ensured I found the car park without too much hassle.
Check in was fairly quick, if a little manual and I was shown to my room, which is always a nice touch. The room was fine. My only negative was the absence of anywhere to get some work done. As a business traveller, it's always useful to have some desk space to pop the laptop and use a chair, etc so it was a little difficult to get work done.
I had dinner in the restaurant, which was very nice, as was breakfast the following day, freshly cooked and very tasty.

This is the second visit (last weekend as well) and all very easy. Breakfast only available over the weekend but that suited me. Kitchen opened early as I was working so that was great and they freshly cooked what I wanted. Rooms are nice and quiet with that extra bit of effort made (bottle of water, chocs, and biscuits!) Variety of staff over the two visits and all very pleasant.

Stayed here for our anniversary.
The hotel room was better then the photos, the landscaping and general decor of the hotel is very impressive.
But even more impressive was the Roman Spa, we spent many hours enjoying the facilities.
Is a great place to stay

Spent the night of the wedding in a family room with my wife and two children. Loads of room and children were in a separate little room to themselves. Food was good and staff were very polite and obliging. Just check when booking that you are entitled to breakfast. Some of our family paid £150 for a family room and they presumed at that price breakfast was included. It wasn't and they didn't find out until they checked out. They were charged for two adult breakfasts and two children's. Breakfast was priced at £15 for full English so added quite a lot onto their bill. Apart from this everyone I spoke to thought the hotel was great.

The lady who checked us in was great. We said we had booked this romantic getaway and she upgraded us and just made us feel so special. The room was big and the bed huge!! The sauna and pool was perfect. The food was lovely and wine choice good. The breakfast was well catered. Fantastic stay overall. Would love to go back!
