“Recommended”

I have used this hotel twice before, we only stay over for the night so it is quite close to the club we go to, the location is excellant right in the town centre, everything is on the door step, the only problem i had this time is that the matteress in the room was a little bit to soft, but other than that everything was 100%, the staff were very helpful and was always around to give a helping hand. we will be returning back there in july for a wedding.

“Value for money”

The Skyway Plaza in Leicester represents exxcellent value for money - it is not a luxurious hotel but gives what you pay for. It is convenient for the City centre and also parking. we would recommend it as an unpretentious value for money hotel.

“Budget hotel - not bad for what you pay”

Paid half of usual rate by booking 3 months ahead but with no option of refund. For that price, had a reasonably comfortable room, that was quiet and clean. Overall, the hotel has seen better days, rather run down some may say, but you get really friendly staff. Computer with free internet access in lobby and basic continental breakfast included in price. Also central location next to central bus station. Parking 4 pounds per 24 hours. Overall good value for money.

“Value for Money”

Sky Plaza is a good value for money budget hotel. Very central location. Parking is not free, £4 for 24 hours. We stayed there with two young kids and we had not problems with sound from the main street or late at night, we stayed for one night during the Easter weekned so the city centre was quiet. Staff were helpful both the reception and at Breakfast time. We had a double room and a cot was ready for us at arrival. We only had a shower cubical and no bath, a few things were missing such as shampoo and shower gel and not enough towels for a family with young kids but the reception staff was very helpfull and provided these when asked.

Top of a multi-storie car park which with my van cuold not enter and had to find parking elsewhere, clean and tidy rooms but shower could have been better.

“Crumbling 1960's concrete block”

This hotel is very central, cheap, clean and the staff are very friendly. Having said that it doesn't have much else going for it. It is perched on top of a NCP car park which you have to pay to use. There are no discounts for staying in the hotel. 1 pound per hour or 4 pounds per day, you don't want to be taking your car in and out regularly. The street level entrance is damp, dark and dirty and didn't feel very safe. You need to use this for the lift. The stairs in the car park were disgusting and full of rubbish and water. The hotel is completely unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems. The 'Continental breakfast' is very basic. Tea, Coffee, Fruit Juice, Toast and Jam. Space is limited and this is made worse because the tables aren't cleared often enough. The flat roofs leak in bad weather. The rooms and hallways stink of cigarettes. Being central can mean there is a fair bit of noise from the night clubs that surround it.

“Get what you pay for”

I liked the hotel in general and it was convenient for what I wanted and reasonable pricewise for what I wanted. It was easy to find off the main route once you figured out where to turn in for the carpark. The shower in the bathroom was a bit 'grotty' and could have done with the mould from the corners getting rid of. Walls a bit thin and could hear the people in the neighbouring room talking late at night but the bed was very comfy the breakfast ideal and the general comfort and appearance of the room was good.

“not impressed”

would not recommend this to people with wheelchairs as there is no acsess to rooms as there is no lifts.I myself cannot manage stairs very well and my roon was down stairs.The dining room was also up more stairs. Staff were all very friendly.
