Very nice, completed redone!Posted Jun 3, 2014
Upon arrival my reservation was entered wrong in their system so that was not good, however we got upgraded to a suite (even had a jacuzzi tub in it) and it was all good from there on out. The hotel just opened from renovations so everything was new and you could tell... Everything was so clean and nice. Complimentary breakfast was nice too. Great place in a little town. Would definitely be staying there again.

We arrived late in the evening. They were ready for us and everything was in order. Only thing lacking was an elevator to second/top floor.

Hattfield, Leitchfield, KYPosted May 13, 2013
Pros: The room was very neat and clean. All of the decorations were newer and updated. The complementary breakfast was very good.
I was in town for a funeral. This motel was recommended by a relative at the last minute. Very nice hotel and real convenient being just off of the interstate and where I needed to be the next day. On a humorus side...I told some people at work I was staying at the Hattfield Motel and I was afraid of some of the McCoys staying at the same motel and the fact that I may be involved in a shoot-out in order get out of the place. Some of the younger people at work did not know what I was talking about. ( I am 60 and they are 25 ish) I was pleased to see the small sheet in the back of the motel book that made mention to the Hattfield and McCoy fued. I saw a documentary on the History Channel a few months ago and I was well versed on the topic. Many of my relatives are from Kentucky (not Hattfields or McCoys) so I have heard of this since I was a kid. It was a fitting touch that the article in the motel book made mention of the families and the fact the motel was named in honor of the Hattfield family name. This is the kind of history I like to hear about...not on some bus tour...I felt more like I lived it even though it was a very modern version of the story. When I am in the area again, I plan on staying at the motel that is very modern but has some history attached to it.

Just off the hwy, decent breakfast. They are the only inn in the area, but very nice and reasonable.

Great vacation hotel.Posted Sep 10, 2012
Cons: The breakfast was not as good as some we have had, however, one can never complain about a FREE breakfast and the convenience it provided.
Very nice experience; friendly staff; clean and comfortable room.
