Friendly welcome, good breakfast, and nice central location.
There is a free bus which rotates around the town, but if you want to be in a ski in/out chalet, you might want to stay closer to the slope.

We booked seven nights half board staying as a family of four in two twin rooms. Facilities were excellent. Food was excellent too. Different dishes every night including soups and salads as well as main courses of salmon, duck, chicken and a different pasta dish every night. Our kids loved the chocolate dessert, but there was always a variety of other fruit tarts and fruit or yoghurt on offer. Breakfast was excellent too..cereals, fruit salad, yoghurt, bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, tomato, mushrooms...always a variety and always lovely.
The hotel is right next to the lifts and ski school which made it easy to get our kids there in the morning. Staff were really helpful and friendly.
We would definitely go back!!

The location of the hotel is the key to whether you will be happy with you're choice of Mecure 1800. It is in 1800 which is almost a separate resort to the main strip with all the bars and resturants. So if your after nightlife then choose somewhere more central. The complex the hotel is in is a little tired but I couldn't fault the staff or the hotel itself. Your access to the lifts (main 1800 lift) is a short walk away, I'm sure in main season you could ski back with a little off piste. There is a bus service which runs to the main village which is a must as otherwise it's a 20 minute walk and uphill on the way back. So if your staying here you really want half board as otherwise your evening options are less than convienent and the hotel charge a premium as your cut off from the competition. If you have a car then none of that is a problem and more of a benefit, u can choose to see as little or as much of the lively centre as you please. Parking for our friends car we found nearby for free. (Not sure if that was due to being end of season). If you can get an all inclusive package and you are happy with the location then I think this hotel is still w good option. The benefit of its location are the views from the breakfast area and that most of the resort can be accessed quickly from the 1800 lift which we found quieter than the others. Do your research and think carefully about this one, sounds obvious but at least you will know what to expect and won't be disappointed.
