CastlePosted Aug 5, 2014
It is a castle and other than adding a bathroom and electricity, it remains an old castle, as it should. A very enjoyable stay with lots of stairs to climb to your room so keep in mind what you are booking. Don't expect a ritzy hotel but do enjoy the place for what it really is, a castle. Decent food, and lots of polish spoken, very little English. Again, remember that you are in Poland so don't expect the Queens English, LOL. I would recommend a visit tho.

Pros: Walk around this great castle and the grounds
The castle was a great experience and I think everyone should visit this place. It is nestled in the country of Poland and for sure should be a stop on anyones trip to Poland. You'll never forget it

Great castle; worth the experience.Posted May 23, 2012
Pros: Staying in the castle!
Location: A little run-down.
Staying in such a dramatic castle is a lot of fun; the rooms are large, with brand new bathrooms and televisions, and there is a restaurant serving hearty portions. The area around the castle is a bit disappointing, however: the hiking trail around the lake is overgrown and badly marked, and the castle does not have maps of trails or the like, which are standard in a lot of hotels. You have to go out and forage for information. I'd recommend that people stay one night for the castle's sake, or stay longer and make driving trips, but not worry too much about sticking around to explore the immediate surroundings. The hotel should also be clearer in distinguishing between types of rooms when people reserve them: my partner and I were put in a 3rd-floor room with 3 single beds, which is not quite what I expected - and the decor was very plain with scuffed paint. I hadn't asked for an economy room, and as this one had a bathroom en suite I assume it was NOT an economy room, but I had from the pictures on this site assumed that the middle-priced rooms would have a double bed and carpets. The room was quiet and beds comfortable, and the price very reasonable, but just a little more monastic than I expected.

It's an old castlePosted May 18, 2012 on Hotels.com
Good for a one night stay. It was kind of a thrill staying in a 13 century castle in very good shape. We did a tour on our own as there was none in English. Surrounding area has a nice lake and is good for hiking. There is nothing anywhere near here and the roads getting here are not so good, Staff was nice but there is no english spoken at the front desk or the restauraunt. The food was good as was the breakfast. Glad we did it.
