This hotel used to be called the Pepper Tree Inn. Now it's called Canada's Best Value Inn part of a larger chain. It has been my experience that conversions of this nature seldom work. The hotel is dated and badly in need of renovations. We couldn't hold the internet connection on our laptops for more than 15 mins at a time.

Expedia, stop booking rooms that do not exist

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: The hotel was in a good location and was clean.
Cons: Ad a little gym room.
Location: Centrally located on the main strip.
Our booking was supposed to be: Queen size bed with a Hide-a-bed. When we arrived there, the front desk person told us that there is only 1 room like this in the hotel and that it is reserved for guest with a disability. We were given a different room with 2 double beds. We were told that it is Expedia's fault for consistently booking rooms that do not exist. Please refrain from doing this.

Family

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Reasonable basic accommodations for our needs
Cons: Outdoor swimming pool was closed for repairs. Seemed to be short of cleaning staff.
We arranged for three rooms for family reunion. Staff was helpful.

Pros: Liked it's location
Cons: It's good value for the money.
Location: Japanese gardens and park across the road -lovely pathways.
Handy for the town, across the road from a wonderful park, good breakfast, quiet room.

Great budget hotel.

This was our second overnight stay in this Lethbridge hotel. It is close to great restaurants and not far from shopping. The bed was "Oh so comfy". We would definitely stay here again.

Small and smelly

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Bed was comfortable and enough towels were available. Nice to have a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave.
Cons: Better coffee and something to eliminate smell in rooms.
Room was small & had a strange smell I could not get rid of. Chairs needed steam cleaning. Door frame was damaged and the door did not close well. I was on the bottom floor so could not leave window open at night. One of the face cloths should no longer have been used for guests. It was grey and dingy.

Too Close for Comfort

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff and good breakfast
Cons: More room
Location: Good location and convenient
We stayed two nights and was convenient to locations in town. The new owners were remolding the facility. The owners were very friendly and served a great breakfast. Rooms with one queen bed were too small to place two small suit cases, let alone move in the room.
