Step Back in Time and Relax.Posted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: Drawing rooms and dining are quite an experience. The house overlooks a nice lake and is very relaxing.
Cons: Absolutely nothing needs changing.
This was just a lovely relaxing experience, the owner and staff are marvellous and really make you comfortable. The property is very well maintained and furnished throughout with tasteful antiques and art work. Can definitely recommend this for anyone who really appreciates fine living and dining. Would not hesitate to return given the chance.

Very nice comfortable hotel outside letterkennyPosted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: The rooms were beautifully furnished. Our bedroom was very spacious and comfortable with a magnificent rural view. The meals were delicious.
Location: Letterkenny is a great central location for many drives around donegal We recommend the drive to Dunfanaghy and horn Head.
We came to stay here as there was no accommodation in Rathmullen available that night. I was on a trip down memory lane as I had spent all my childhood summer holidays there. My family came from there. Staying at castle Grove was a lovely experience.

One Night stayPosted Oct 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
Firstly it was easily located from Letterkenny, the hotel is situated quite a bit down a long avenue with big oak trees, I have to say I got a creepy feeling from the minute I landed at the house, we were made welcome by a lovely porter who showed us to our room, our room was ok but smelled of must, the antique style furniture was nice but the bathroom was a let down, it was clean but there was mould all over one wall, I presume from lack of ventilation, there is a tiny bar in the hotel, we had drinks and sat in the living room for the evening, the dinner menu is expensive at nearly €50 each, I did not sleep that night and kept the light on at all times, the breakfast the next morning was nice and the staff are lovely, I dont think I would return.

A night in gracious timesPosted Jul 28, 2012 on Hotels.com
We were blown away by everything about the country house. The drive in was only the appetizer to a smorgasbord of delights. The staff we dealt with was gracious, attentive, charming and we wanted to pack them in our suitcases to bring home. The 300 year old building was well maintained and filled with enough charm to last for weeks. If I am ever in the north of the republic of Ireland again, this will be where I want to stay.
