Another great night at Aloft

Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: Clean, great condition, aesthetically pleasing, functional.
Cons: The product that gives the room that "Aloft smell"...use less of it. It was a bit strong when I walked in, just after they had cleaned the floor.
Location: Minuteman National Park in the back yard. Short drive to historic Concord, Walden Pond, Drumlin Farm, deCordova Museum, etc.
My night at Aloft was actually my birthday gift to myself. I wanted to treat myself to a getaway outside the city. Plenty of parking. Walking trails right next to it with Minuteman National Park Visitor Center right down the road. If you're looking for a hotel with restaurants, shops, and transportation to walk to, this isn't the hotel for you. This Aloft works for me since I live in the city and like getting out to a more quiet area with access to nature and history. Woman who checked me in was friendly and fast. Lobby and downstairs amenities were clean and in great condition. Free wireless internet was fast. People on here have complained about loud music...I'm sensitive to noise so if music was on, it wasn't loud enough for me to notice. My room was right next to elevator, but was all was quiet minus a few loud guests going to bed. Wanted to take a long hot shower and was actually able to do so. My room was also clean and in great shape. Mattress and bright white bedding was fantastic and put my into a much needed deep sleep. Excellent room darkening shades that allowed me to sleep til 11am. My only issue was being woken up to a beeping in the room at 6am, turned out to be one of the two cordless phones in the room. I guess one had low battery, so I put it on the other cradle and went back to bed. Check out woman was nice but it did strike me odd that she didn't ask how my stay was.

Awesomeness in Lexington

Posted Dec 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
I love this place and I love the concept. It has a great front lobby/bar/game room to hang out in where you can play your own music over the soeakers. Makes me think of a really cool modern hostle for world travelers but with More amenities and privacy. Has an indoor pool that looks out into a fire pit area that that looks into the bar/lobby. this place must be amazing in the summer.

Convenient to Hanscom AFB

Posted Dec 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
This was an overnight stay and I've used this hotel before. I like it's modern/European style décor. It's clean, functional and the rooms are a decent size. Internet is a bit slow, but it's included in the price of the room which is appropriate for the area. I use this hotel because of it's extreme convenience in accessing Hanscom AFB. I'll continue to use it. No restaurant, no room service and bar closes at midnight. There is a suitable café/mini store (like a Marriot Residence Inn) in the lobby and you can get a hot breakfast made in the morning.
