Great Kentucky North Hotel

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Beds/pillows were like at home. Cleanliness was a 9.
Cons: There was a problem and no hot water on the last day of our stay.
Location: Close to the Kentucky Horse Park and University of Kentucky. Also, lots of places to eat nearby.
Pretty hotel with an extremely efficient staff who were very friendly. If you are going to the Horse Park this hotel is relatively close. Also, lots of places to eat in the area as well as right in the commons.

This is a pretty hotel that was a bit disappointin

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Large room and large tub.
Cons: See above details, several things could be picked from that list.
Location: Easy access to the main roads and not too far from shopping and eating. Seemed to be fairly safe area.
We arrived for 5 days and 4 nights. Our room was large and pretty comfy. The bedding for the couch bed wasn't folded and was just crammed into the cabinet and I feel like this was done by the last guest that used it. The couch bed also had crumbs all in it when it was folded out. One of our beds was missing a pillow, but it looked clean. No bed bugs noticed. The toilet ran on and off the whole stay. The housekeeping staff was nice, but didn't give you but about 2 seconds to answer the door before they were coming in, so I just kept the do not disturb on because I thought they might walk in on us changing clothes with that little of a warning. Lastly, the key didn't work well. Neither of the two we had would get us in on the first try. We would just stand in the hall and finally after 10-12 attempts we would get our door unlocked. Other guests were having trouble with the locks/keys as well.

Sleepless in Lexington

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Cons: Upgrade to quieter air conditioning & refrigerator, add more hooks or hanging towel bars for hanging items in bathroom.
Location: Difficult to locate hotel arriving at 10PM after 12 hours driving.
Room had large space and loud noises from refrigerator and air conditioning. Sounded like you were in an airplane. Even after shutting off air conditioning, refrigerator or air condition motor continued to had loud hum constantly. Air conditioning is mounted on wall next to bed. Bathroom was spacious, but lacked hooks to hang towels, or clothes.

cleaning delayed.

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: nice facilities, pleasant staff
Cons: quickness of service
we left the room at 10 and the cleaning cart was at the door. We were gone for 3-3and a half hours and when we returned the room had not been cleaned. That was upsetting. When we went to dinner, I had to ask hotel staff to get us a waitress because no one came to serve us. Once she arrived, the service was great and so was the mean

Enjoyable Stay

Posted Jun 13, 2014
I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and the overall accomodations in the room. having a seperate living space from the bedroom with a TV in each room was very convenient. The two person jet tub was also a nice bonus that most hotels don't offer at the rate I paid. I also enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the bar/lobby area. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others!

Very nice hotel

Posted May 31, 2014
Pros: Really liked everything but the pillows. The chocolate chip cookies they give you at check in are yummy!!
Cons: Hated the pillows.
Location: There are restaurants, yogurt shop, barber, and Posh Salon in the square within walking distance. Movies and shopping are very close as well.
Very nice room. Very clean room. It was a little noisy in the evening because of the balcony doors.
