“Very well done”

This hotel was fairly new, clean and well designed. Bathroom was exceptionally well done with enough room to turn around. Also a nice vanity with storage shelfs under the sink to place items. Easy access to interstate and friendly staff.

Just an overnight and moved on.

“Great Weekend Stay”

The room was very clean and the bathroom very modern with a granite topped vanity. . Breakfast was tasty and there were several choices. They even had cookies and popcorn for an afternoon snack when we checked in. The staff was very friendly. I went to the front desk to ask for more towels and they gave them to me right there fresh out of the dryer! I would definitely stay there again.

“Lovely stay in Richmond”

My parents and I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Richmond while visiting my sister at EKU. I was really pleased with our stay, particularly the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff - at front desk, housekeeping, and particularly the maintainence man who brought us an additional chair. Breakfast was much more than I expected for the price of the room, and the popcorn in the lobby was a nice touch. The only suggestion I have is for a few more additions to the fitness room. I really appreciated having the treadmill since the area has heavy traffic and is not suitable for running, but a few more hand weights of different sizes would be nice. We'll be back at the Holiday Inn next time we're in town!

“Wonderful full hot breakfast”

We stayed for a Marriage Conference at a local church. We did not know the town but the hotel was one of the recommendations of the host site for the conference. We were very pleased with the new, clean room and the condition of the hotel. The full hot breakfast was a welcome surprise. We would definitely stay again.

“Expectations! Met!”

I was in the area to see family that I had come in for the football game. I got in late but everyone was so helpful since I was so tired and just wanted to go to bed. If I had had my dogs with me it would have been just like home. The bathroom reminded me of a spa with all the towels nice and white along with with bed all made up with pillows that acuatly said firm and soft who would have thought of that and extras all over the room and blankets. At other hotels there was all types of noise at all hours but the room I had was quiet which was so nice and made it easy to get comfortable and sleep or relax. I will definetly stay at another Holiday Inn Express just maybe closer to family so that I would not have to drive as far. I did not ask if they could get me in one closer to family so I don't know if that would have been possible as I did not ask. I would recommend this hotel or other Holdiay Inn Express to anyone.

Area recommendations
I have been to the area in the past and there is tons of things to do. When I return I will definetly go to Evans Orchard. It was so beautiful with tons of things to do for adults and children and those HUGE pumpkins and fresh apple cider, mmmm. I did not get to alot of the horse museums that were in Lexington and Louisville but would love to in the future, along with the handmade Bybee Pottery and handmade shops in the area. I would have liked to take a tour of the distillerys from wine to bourbon especially Maker's Mark for sealing your own bottle with the red wax. Just driving around and seeing the fall foliage was beautiful in itself and the people were so friendly and helpful. I wish I would have more time to spend. If that is not your thing they had many shops for shopping and great dining spots other than your local drive thrus. So much and so little time...

All of the listed things are great. I have never been in the fall and it was great to see the changing colors, getting there is easy and finding the quietly placed hotel very easy off of 75, getting around to where you need to be is so easy and the attractions also. The weather was chilly in the morning so if you can't wait for it to warm up to the comfortable temps then bring a lite jacket and something for the late afternoon as the temperature does drop. Shopping/dining were great. I did not spend much time out in the Nightlife but other customer enjoyed the races at Keeneland that weekend. There were plenty of family activites and sites to keep kids of all ages entertained.

“Strong recommmendations !”

New and clean rooms and facilities, kind services, reasonable price, distance within 30 minutes' drive from Lexington.. These things made good experience while staying.

“Great Hotel! Bad Customer Service!!”

We had a great room, very nice staff, comfortable beds etc. Our experience started out pretty good. The front desk clerk was polite and let us check in early although she did seem a little irritated by it. We had been checked into the room for about 9 hours when my husband called down to the front desk to get some shaving cream. The clerk asked our room number then said to come pick it up. My husband went down to get it and there was also a couple there checking in. He came back to the room and put the security latch on since I was in the shower. Good thing he did because the front desk clerk had given the couple that my husband had just passed the same room as us. So they came in the door while I was in the shower and the secrity latch caught it!! Not cool at all. The next moring we went down for breakfast in th hotel, came back to the room to get our things and our key card didn't work!! I had to go back down to the front desk to get them to reactivate it. I also told them about them giving our room away the other night and although they were shocked, no manager was called or any refund or discount on the cost of the room.

“Richmond's fantastic hotel”

I found nothing negative about the hotel. The refreshments, popcorn and cookies were a nice touch. The friendly staff and the clean comfortable room made our stay perfect.

Area recommendations
We enjoyed the neighborhood we were in and our trip down the road to Berea.

Getting there is so easy as it is just off I-75
Getting around
Getting around was no problem.
Must see
Berea and all it's wonderful arts and crafts and listen to the Celtic band on Saturday outside at Berea.

“A Horse is Not Always a Horse!”

This hotel was definitely a pleasure to stay in. In the title I am trying to say that all "horses" are not the same and neither are all hotels. This hotel would win the local Kentucky Derby of Holiday Inn Express hotels and any other chains.
