great hotel overlooking lake ComoPosted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: The owners and staff are the most friendly and helpful, the meals at the hotel and their restraunte opposite were also great.
Cons: easier assess for cases to the rooms.
Location: our room overlooked the lake and snow capped mountains opposite(early for this time of year)we visited other towns on the lake either by Bus or Ferry,
Had a great weeks stay, all the little towns are beautiful with different things to see, public transport is great and easy to use.

Location: Ferries are close, Bellagio is close and the lake is only steps away!!!
Fabulous staff, clean, comfortable and the restaurant was incredible. Ranking Hotel Aurora right up there as a 4-5 star hotel!!! We were in Italy for 15 nights and this hotel is ranked up in the top three places we stayed!! Loved it!!

Fantastic Family Run HotelPosted Sep 23, 2013
We had a lovely 6 nights at the Hotel Aurora overlooking Lake Como. It is a beautiful area and this hotel and its superb restaurant make the whole place even better. The staff were lovely and very helpful / knowledgeable about the area. The restaurant was reasonably priced especially when you taste the super local food. All in all an excellent family run hotel!

Absolutely incredible!Posted Aug 16, 2013
Pros: Staff, restaurant and the view!
Location: Truly stunning.
Brilliant hotel, amazing staff, incredible location. When we booked, the photos looked great and it all sounded amazing, but you never can tell until you get to a hotel. This was everything they said and more! We stayed for 3 nights and it was one of the most incredible experiences we've ever had on holiday and great value for money. The room was exceptional; tidy, comfortable bed, big enough bathroom (with amazing shower!), full Wi-fi access and stunning views. The staff were helpful, relaxed, friendly and inviting. The hotel has a great selection of water activities as well, including the hire of one of their speedboats (and you don't even need a boating licence). We had a truly incredible experience here but made all the more amazing, as we got engaged on the lake, using one of the hotel's speed boats!

Beautiful viewPosted Jul 18, 2013
Stayed for two nights in mid July. Great weather. Easy, but interesting drive to bellagio. Restaurant is great. Swimming is good, and parking can be a challenge. Rooms were fine.

Beautiful hotel overlooking Lake ComoPosted Jun 29, 2013
Pros: Clean, pleasant decor, helpful English speaking staff, delicious food in the on site restaurant, swimming in the lake.
Location: Boating on the lake, swimming in the lake, Bellagio 15 minutes by bus, ferry rides to visit different towns around the lake.
Hotel is very comfortable with bar and patio for drinks, lovely breakfast room and lounge area with Internet access. Very pleasant rooms, ours had stunning views of lake como. Restaurant on site is excellent and sun deck with boating and swimming helps to make the whole experience of staying here a memorable one. Bellagio which is 15 minutes by car or bus, is great to visit and ferries take you to several different towns on the lake to visit and wander around.

Such a lovely hotelPosted Jun 19, 2013
Pros: The staff, the restaurant, the view
Location: Location gives great views, but more to do in bigger towns around the lake
After checking in I wasn't in the room for long because I wanted to catch a ferry to Lenno where I walked to Menaggio, but I was so happy with the room and especially the view! The floor boards creaked a little bit by the door, I was on the first floor so at least it wasn't disturbing guests underneath me. The bed was big with lovely crisp, clean linen. The bathroom had nice toiletries, and was clean with a good shower. The ferry stop isn't far from the hotel, but there aren't any pavements so you just have to be careful of the cars. The service and food in the restaurant was great. I had a good view of the lake watching the sunset while enjoying my dinner. The bruschetta was lovely, the pizza delicious and they didn't scrimp on the tiramisu portion. I was more than happy with the 23 euros for three courses. Because of only being on the first floor and there being a small road between the hotel and the restaurant I wondered if there'd be a lot of noise when sleeping. But when the door was closed I didn't hear enough to keep me up or wake me up. I wouldn't say it was the most comfortable bed I've slept in, but to wake up and see that view from my bed made it a great start to the day. For breakfast there was enough to choose from, including a gluten free section. The waiter would make fresh coffee from the bar as well. I wish I could have stayed in one of their villa rooms, but it was too expensive for just me. But I'd love to return here again and stay longer.
