“What a dump!”

“Great for the price”

If you need a basic, quite hotel you can't go wrong. The carpets could use steam cleaning but overall it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast leaves a lot to desire. Only really carbs. I would not eat the donuts, waffles and bagels because they are recycled. There is a great breakfast place right across the street. There is a donut shop right next door that was always packed. I never went. There is a Wallgreens, Starbucks and if you have a car everything is quite close. If you head out the hotel and take a left on Buckley (HW 137), passed the strip mall and right before the bridge on the right is a beautiful nature loop that takes you past rivers and lakes and you can see beavers, geese, squirrels, birds and more. I saw a beaver cutting down a tree, which was amazing. I never thought I would go to a restaurant called Sushi Thai. How authentic can that be, right? But due to extenuating circumstances I ended up ordering some sushi and it was really good, this coming from someone who has had some great sushi. There is no public trans until you get into "downtown" Libertyville. There you can catch a train that will take you directly to Chicago. Don't drive to Chicago unless someone offers. Take the train. It takes you into the heart of the city and it only costs $6 each way.

“"Affordable and convenient"”

Six of us booked 3 rooms here the weekend of 10-13-11 thru 10-16-11 to attend graduation ceremonies at Great Lakes Training Center. The hotel is located about 5 miles straight down the road from GLTC, very convenient and easy to find the entrance to the base. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Don't stay here and expect turn-down service and little mints on your bed, but for the money it was great. The hotel is less than 10 minutes from Gurnee Mall and Six Flags, we recommend going to that area for shopping and dining as there are many selections. However, Libertyville is a great little town and has many dining choices. We would stay here again without question.

“Not Impressed at all!!!!”

We got to our hotel and ready to relax...in the first room that we had the tv was so old that it was going out and the screen was bouncing. They changed rooms for us and the bathtub didn't have a plug and there was no hot water!!! It is crazy to try and get anything done about it or even hot water. Let me tell you an ice cold shower in the morning sucked!! wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone

“Stay Elsewhere”

This hotel is dirty, dingy, outdated and smelly. The safety certificates in both the elevators and the fire extinguishers are out of date. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I care for. We decided not to take advantage of the complimentary breakfast because this hotel was so filthy I couldn't imagine allowing my family to eat there. I have no idea if this is typical of Days Inn hotels everywhere, because this was our first (and last) time staying at one.

“Value for money”

Was visiting six flags great americas, good budget hotel nearby to attraction.

“only option for a >25 lb dog”

This was the only hotel in the area that allowed dogs>25 lbs and therefore our only option. The location of the hotel was fine, but it needs some updating. Our room was non-smoking, but the smoking rooms across the hall had large enough gaps under the door that you could see the cigarette smoke coming under the door.

“not good”

tv and internet went out, no am radio stations came in for the news. a snow storm occurred durring that evening, and no one plowed the parking lot until the afternoon of the next day. the hallways had a funny smell throughout the hotel too.

“best stay in Libertyville”

The hotel has definitely seen some use, but in all respects, everything was very clean and well maintained. All staff were efficient and above board in courtesy.
