We wanted a place close to the airport for the night as we were arriving late. I called ahead as suggested to alert the staff we would be in after 10pm, and they were very friendly about accomodating our late arrival. Staff was super nice, and place was clean and comfortable. Although very-dated, it had a new TV, a small kitchen, and effective air-conditioning. We walked the next morning to a restaurant around the corner for breakfast, and then to the Enterprise car rental office to pick up our car, and move on to a resort for our vacation. So this is conveniently located, and was a good option for us for the night. But I wouldn't want to stay here for the whole vacation.

This is a great hotel! Near to the city and to the airport, Kauai is the paradise and this hotel made our stay even better. The pool is beatiful and the beach is like 50 feet away. Definetly I am going to stay in this resort next time.

We enjoyed our stay at the Kauai Inn. The staff are very friendly. The hotel is older but kept up well. The neighborhood is a mix of residential, pretty quiet (except for the roosters), and tucked out of the way, yet close to the water and an easy drive to Lihue and the beach.

We spent 2 nights here after our timeshare week before our flight home. It was a convenient location & very comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen & a cozy living room, the bedrooms are upstairs townhouse style.

We chose a room with no view to cut on cost and ended up on the top floor with a tropical jungle view, it was a pleasant surprise. The only things I didn't like was the lack of microwave, and how small the fridge was. Eating out gets expensive!

This place was probably built in the mid-60's (I'm guessing). It's nicely maintained, though, and the villa that I had was perfectly outfitted for everything I would want or need, including coffee grinder, blender, and any other kitchen gadgets you can think of. There was dishwasher and laundry detergent for the appliances. Nice quality of pots and pans. The ocean was just around the corner, and the villas were very quiet. Beautiful lanai area to sit outdoors. Jancy in the front office was so kind and helpful....truly demonstrated her "aloha" spirit. Even the grounds maintenance folks were really helpful and friendly (I had to a gentleman for the time, as I was afraid I would be late for my dinner reservation, but he pulled out his cell phone and called the restaurant for me....so I got to slow down and "smell the roses" along the way), everyone always with a wonderful greeting. I would definitely go back and stay for an unlimited amount of time. Parking was close and easy, and the location was perfect for exploring the island.

Great gorgeous grounds, beach, and facilities... And pool! Amazing... Room a little disappointing ... Had to move furniture to get the bed down from the wall... Room definitely a little dusty... But still totally doable! Front desk personnel was the worst. Disappointing for a marriot hotel:( Standoffish... And totally unwilling to help... Fortunately the rest of the hotel is soooo nice and I would stay again just for the hotel itself!

The gateway to Kauai, Lihue is home to the island's airport, cruise ship terminals, major businesses, and government offices. Here, culture fans can enjoy the artwork and historical artifacts at the Kauai Museum. The white sands of Kalapaki Beach attract locals and tourists alike. The area's lush habitat is immortalized in the opening scenes of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.
