Its a good hotel. I was a tad scared from reading other reviews but its a comfortable place to stay at a reasonable rate. You're a block from larcomar and the lima bluffs, truly in the center of miraflores. You're paying for location!! Please disregard previous posts, this place is more than acceptable!!

“Bayview Hotel: second visit”

I highly recommend the Bayview hotel. The service is good, the rooms are clean, and the staff fosters a pleasant atmosphere. At one block from Larcomar mall, one cannot go wrong.

“clean, cheap, convenient”

It's not the Marriott, but for the price, who cares? Free WiFi, breakfast included (eggs, toast, juice, coffee), well-located and 75-cent sodas form the minibar? C'mon, it's a great deal. The staff is nice, too.

“Had a great time”

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpfull, especially the porters/waiters. Its a very comfortable and pretty hotel up a long narrow steep but interesting street. Theres a brilliant huge covered market used by locals and tourists at the bottom end of the street and walk for 5/10 mins and your in the heart of Cusco. We had dinner 1 time and enjoyed it enough to be tempted but it would be a waste to visit Cusco without exploring its Europeon culnary standard resteraunts and night life {though with a friendlyness and atmosphere that is so heartfelt you never want to leave}. We stayed 5 nights and would definately recomend and go back oureselves.

“Perfect location, spotless hotel”

If you're looking for a 5 star hotel this isn't it. The rooms, lobby and restuarant are simple but spotless. These people Clean!!! Also many thoughtful touches: shower cap, q tips, cable TV, Mini-bar, Internet, etc. Shower was great, lots of hot water pressure. Beautiful garden in back (complete with Tortuga). The garden view is not a penalty I'd prefer it to the street noise. NO AC; however, that wasn't an issue. This hotel's true strength is it's staff. They will make you food and drinks anytime, help you with arrangments and answer questions. Always courteous and smiling. Several spoke good english. I've never seen a small hotel take so much pride in cleanliness. The location is perfect. Directly in back of the Mariott. Probably the best known hotel in Town. Cabs are easy and cheap to/from the Mariott. Lancomar "mall" is one block. My first reaction was mall, OK I didn't come to Peru to go to a mall; however, Lancomar is a beautiful outdoor shopping center terraced into cliffs overlooking the ocean. Almost every resturant had an Ocean view. Oddly enough it has a Hooters? Nice quality goods too, no junk. Highly recommend this Hotel, would stay again anytime.

“Excellent choice!”

This is a very charming European Inn style hotel in a superb location. The street is very quiet and secure. The Larcomar mall is 2 blocks away. There are many restaurants, nearby, a convenience store across the street and a laundry 2 blocks away. The staff were very friendly and helpful with local information and organizing tours. This is NOT a luxury style hotel, but a very comfortable family style quaint inn. The only thing I could criticize is that they do not provide soap or shampoo, but that is a small complaint. Our room was lovely. Ask for a balcony room if they are available.

“Great hotel on a modest buget”

We had a GAP tour ending at La Castellana, which was an ok hotel in some rooms - but other rooms were poor. We decided to book this hotel online prior to arriving in Peru and chance it. We're glad we did. The room was spacious and very clean & quite bright. A free pisco sour was available for each guest, and the front desk staff were very helpful and professional. And 2 computers for internet access. The area around the hotel is quite nice too as it's near the major hotel chains.

“great location”

This hotel in is in a great location in the best part of Lima: Miraflores. All they employees were very friendly and helpful. Take advantage of the airport shuttle arrangement by the hotel It's cheap and a major relief upon arriving at the airport. The hotel's restaurant had good food, but don't hesistate to venture around the area to try something else.

“Terrific location”

If the worst thing I can say is that I had to push the two single beds together in order to cozy up with my girlfriend at night then we're talking about a great hotel. It's located right beside the Marriott and popular Larcomar shopping and eating area in the touristy Miraflores district. Did I mention you can't beat the price of this hotel??
