“Conquistadores Lima: Comfortable; wonderful staff; and, great value”

We just returned from three and a half weeks in Peru, the first two and last four nights of which we spent at the Conquistadores in Lima's San Isidro. We loved this hotel and its helpful staff. Our suites were spacious, comfortable, clean, and an excellent value. The wireless high-speed Internet is excellent, and most suites have full kitchens. A lot of buisiness people stay here, and the San Isidro area is one of the nicest in Lima, but some tourists would probably prefer the more touristy areas of Miraflores (near the LarcoMar Shopping Center). Lima is a very big city, but you can get a small taxi to almost anywhere for just a couple of dollars (5-9 soles), and riding in these cabs is an "adventure" as well as a great chance to know the people of Lima; the drivers are almost always very interesting folks. I would and will stay here again becasue I actually prefer being away from the tourist area, and becasue the staff and facilities were excellent. The bartender, Lucia, in the small hotel lobby bar makes the best Pisco Sour in Lima, and is one of the finest and friendliest people I have ever met. The suites on the top floors (8-10) have wonderful views of the city. The small hotel roof-top restaurant serves an excellent breakfast (included) with a view and is also a great place for dinner. Overall, this is one of the nicest hotels I know, and certainly THE greatest value.

We loved this hotel! The staff was very helpful and polite. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant upstairs and the food was very good. We would definitely stay here again.

The people working in this hotel are very friendly, very helpful and professional. We stayed there for 9 days and we enjoyed it. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent!. This is the second time we stayed in that hotel and we will do it again.
