There is something very nostalgic about staying in a hotel like this. The interior-facing rooms with balconies looking down on the pool and game area definitely takes you back to the hotel experience of the 80s and 90s. It was unlike anything my 8-year old had ever seen and she was absolutely thrilled (and mad we didn't stay a second night). Altogether we had a great experience. Cons were that the beds are a tad on the small side and that it was tough to be in the pool for too long because the air in the pool area was far too cold.

The interior was lile nothing I've ever seen and it was a little bit like the backrooms. Very cool building and great room. The plumbing definitely needs work and the pillows could be a bit bigger, but a great hotel nonetheless!

What a hidden gem. You don't of a place like this when you think of Howard Johnson's. We had a great stay. Everyone was super nice. Our room was clean. Breakfast was good. We ate at the bar as well, surprised how good it was. Will definitely stay there again.

The room we had was on the 1st floor. When we arrived the room had ac over abundance of deodorizer. It was almost nauseating. Eventually, this wore off and the smell of damp wetness set in from the restroom area. I could tell they had a water leak issue in the recent past. It really ramped up when we used the shower. That was a long 3 days. Overall the rest of the hotel was pleasant.

Hotel is very nice inside, accessible to the I-75 and the staff are very kind and couteous Would recommend this hotel for people passing through Lima. Breakfast has minimal choices, however is included with your stay

Our stay was good, the hotel is nice, bed was comfortable. Chair and mattress were stained and a few small stains on the comforter and the desk was dirty.

wifey smokes so that is fab and of course allowing pets and yes the free breakfast is good but even way fab is having a restaurant in the building and even though some oddities; our room PH and TV not connected I was able to figure out one and they sent near immediately albeit way late (2:00am) to fix and had a lovely grand chat (this was an occasional worker not a std emp [and again, the std emps give immediate service])

What a gem we encountered in this HoJo in Lima Ohio! Clean, charming, unique! Loved the pool lobby, pizza/breakfast bar, ACTUAL BAR, and arcade. The kids loved it and it was a great stop on our way back from Florida to Northern Michigan. It was fabulous!

Other reviews were right. Very nice old fashioned Hotel. Pool area great EXCEPT there was NO hot tub. I thought there was and that’s why we reserved it. We were looking forward to it after long day of driving but it did not exist. So, we didn’t even use the pool. The 2nd night we used the pool because it was nice and we wanted some relaxing. But, no hot tub was a surprise.

Extra towels would be nice to be left near the pool. Having flip flops or very cheap slip ons would be great for after swimming so our shoes aren’t drenched or walking everwjeee with wet feet dripping all over, more so withe kids. X
