Nice, but more glitches than at small 2 star hotelPosted Jan 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was a nice hotel. I enjoyed the complimentary coffee and pisco sour. It was difficult to access the free wifi - although the people at the desk spent a lot of time trying to help me with this. The elevator wasn't working when I needed to leave for an early flight. I had to walk down 11 flights of stairs. The taxi rate the hotel arranged for to the airport was more than twice what it was from the airport to the hotel. Who pockets the difference?

Lima traffic is BAD, and this is right down-townPosted Dec 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
stay away unless you NEED to be in this location. Lima's traffic is SO BAD, and this hotel is down-town. The hotel site says 25 min from airport. It took me 55 min on a car with no air conditioning to get there at noon. Swimming pool is not heated, and water is FROZEN (already summer). I called the hotel as I was traveling with a 4 year old, and just needed to stay somewhere for 10hrs, use a pool, take a nap. BAD CHOICE. Far from the airport, and from anything nice/ worth seeing. Not a friendly area, so much they require a lot of documentation to check in, and they even have you sign documents to receive visitors.

Central locationPosted Dec 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great central location, food overpriced, a bit far if your meetings are all in San Isidro.

Downtown comfortPosted Sep 15, 2013
I chose this hotel because it was listed as near the airport. It is a 45 minute cab ride ($50) during rush hour, but only 20 minutes at 5 am. Beds and room were comfy. Bar is ok. Only had a chicken sandwich and wine so can't really comment on food.. It is downtown Lima, not in the new hotel district. I would stay there of I needed to be downtown.

Better for Business TravelPosted Sep 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
If we had been there for business it would have been a good place to stay, but for $230/night, it was really over-priced for what it is. Wi-fi is not free except for in the Lobby, and you can only link one device per room, so this was inconvenient. The taxi to and from the airport was s/.100 or $40USD which was expensive, and after coming from Cusco where we got an 11 hour tour for only s/.35, it seemed excessive for the 20 minute cab ride. The hotel is located next to a mall though so there is shopping and places to eat near by if you don't want to pay the high prices the hotel offers. Over all it was a North American hotel chain, but it was over-priced for what it was.
