“A bit of luxury at the end of 8 weeks travel!”

We chose this hotel to finish our 8 week trip around South America. Some of the hotels we has stayed in during the last 3 weeks were a lot more basic so we decided on an upgrade. Hotel was very clean and modern with a two level room and heaps of space. Bed and bedding was very luxurious. Free transfer to the airport was very welcome.

“GREAT experience!”

We stayed at the Thunderbird only for one night on our way back from Cusco, and we loved it! They upgraded us for free to the penthouse which was amazing! The casino and restaurant are good and the location is great! Across the street from a grocery store which is great if you’re craving anything (you can find anything in there). It’s also a short walk to the main areas. I really enjoyed this hotel and wish we could have stayed longer!

“The best room ever for a fair price...”

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a few days... We rented an executive room,,, Too much room for only 2 persons considering that it has 2 bedrooms... Better try getting a Jr. Suite instead... The view is amazing,,, the instalations are awesome,,, the breakfast buffet is the most complete I´ve ever seen before... This hotel has it´s own casino,,, It is located in Miraflores, probably the area or neighborhood you´d like to stay around,,,, very close to the Kenedy Park,,,, If you like wakling, the Lovers park is within 15 minutes walking...

“split decision”

The Thunderbird (Las Americas) is a hotel built for extended stay people. It was built to very nice standards but because of its age the rooms have air conditioning but no heat. ( in Miraflores in winter you need heat). The rooms have single pane windows that let in the street noise and in Miraflores there is New York style street noise. So, the rooms are large, two floors so if you are staying one night it is a hassle. There is a kitchenete/ micro and fridge. and a living room with plasma, laid out nice. the upstairs is nice. bath and dressing area are not laid out well. Bed is very comfy. If you are a one or two night tourist the word is there are better places. If you are a four or five day traveler and want a little room go for it. There is No Bar, No restaurant on premisis, just a breakfast room on the 8th floor. If you like to gamble the casino is attached.
