Hotel moderno situado en la rivera del río
Hotel moderno, limpio, con buenas instalaciones. Parking subterráneo por 8 euros al día para clientes. Nos dieron una habitación con vistas al río y espectacular. Tenía un gran ventanal desde el que se veía toda la rivera, el castillo del rey John y la catedral. El desayuno bueno. Nos dió pena sólo quedarnos un día.

A perfect stay in every way. From the moment we entered the hotel we were greeted like returning regulars. Clodagh and Siobhan ensured our welcome was warm, engaging, personal and professional. Throughout our stay no question remained unanswered. No-thing was too much trouble. The whole hotel staff were exceptional. Our room was an Executive King and it was spacious, clean, well presented and the bed was so comfortable and so large that reception should issue a map in the event of getting lost in the massive duvet! The room is well equipped coming with tea and coffee making facilities, as well as a Krupps coffee pod machine, a chiller, hairdryer and bathrobes. The bathroom has a shower cubicle and a bath. The Buffet Breakfast has an amazing range and choice. Whether you want a full Irish or continental, cereal, fruit, cooked meats, cheeses, pancakes, muffins, pastries everything is there and fresh. The list of products is endless. The hotel bar was a great place to start the evening with a great range of beers, ales and stout. One small gripe buffet breakfast means the food sitting in serving trays and can be a little cool in temperature. This was our experience the first morning. A tepid cooked breakfast isn’t the best way to start the day! A small gripe and didn't impact our overall enjoyment of our stay at this perfectly situated hotel.

The hotel was wonderful. Siobhan (from the front desk) was AMAZING! She was so helpful with suggesting places to see and things to do. She ensured that we had coupons for breakfast if we wanted them and she helped us get discounts for attractions in the area! The hotel also acted quickly to correct a problem with the temperature in our room.

We stayed here on St Stephen's night after the Munster v Leinster match. We loved the whole experience. Great facilities and atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The presents for the children was a really lovely touch

I have family in Limerick and have stayed at the Strand a few times. I was here this time to to attend a family birthday party that was being held in the hotel. It is a lovely hotel with wonderful staff. I took the one star off because we were given a VIP, 14 Euro voucher through Expedia, that was supposedly for any food and NON ALCOHOLIC beverages, however we could not put this towards a sandwich, pizza or soft drinks in the lounge because the manager had written specifically that it had to be put towards a sit down full dinner. Anyway maybe petty on my part but leaves one with a bad feeling. So ignore the VIP incentive because it is not that useful. The manager should reconsider this as it does not reflect genuine hospitality. Overwise this is a grand hotel!

Great location and value for the money
Hotel is a good value for the money but could use a little better cleaning for the rating it carries. Even tough it states rooms have an AC, ours didn’t work and caused the room to be very humid. Staff is very attentive and does go the extra mile to make things right!

We really liked this hotel! The area is great for walking around and exploring. There were lots of different food options around and also easy to locate practicalities like a pharmacy and a laundrette (the hotel had a laundry service but we didn't have enough time for that option). Staff at the hotel were very helpful and kind when we had questions or didn't know where to sit for table service in the bar/restaurant. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the service impeccable. Fancy, but not stodgy. We had a family room and it was awesome! One of our favourite rooms of our whole trip. Such good views. We really appreciated some of the extras in the room too, like the bottled water and some truly excellent soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hand cream. 10/10.

Nice Place, BUT, Rip-off Ireland is Alive and Well
It is a lovely hotel and very well located in Limerick city's centre. The staff were amiable and very competent. Breakfast, always a good benchmark, was good, but not great (bacon was obviously cheaper quality cuts), and here's the rub, it was very very expensive, as was everything else about the hotel, and indeed the country in recent years! For price and value for money, the hotel falls very far short. In short, the Limerick Strand Hotel is a rip-off compared to hotels of a similar standard in many other countries. Everything was extra including parking, and breakfast, I do believe breathing fresh air would have cost if they could manage it! Also, another minus, they were somewhat devious in the way they presented so-called 'discounts' for breakfast etc... and that was really annoying. After last evening's experience, I can honestly say that I would never spend money on a holiday in Ireland so long as there are any other venues left on the planet that aren't on fire:-) Rip-off Ireland is indeed alive and well!!!

We all loved this hotel! Very modern - nice spacious room with lovely bathroom. Small shower, but it did have a tub! Great location for local sightseeing and restaurants. Parking (with a fee) onsite. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Limerick!

Good hotel
Very enjoyable one night stay… nice quiet bedroom, comfortable bed and friendly staff ….. only downside was the lack of variety of fruit at breakfast. It was mostly just different types of melon

The staff was very accommodating, the hotel and food was very good. Loved that it was within walking distance to tons of shops and the bus station!
