Minimal amount of comfort. Bed broke down w/ saggy sides. Lamp shades water stained and cracked, towels worn, visable dirt behind night stand. Light bulb too dim to read... Outdoor spot lights aimed right into window so that even room darkening drapes could not keep out light. Much more to complain about too.

Decent hotel close to major hwy.

Posted May 27, 2014
Overall a decent place to stay. The mattress was VERY firm, woke up stiff. The main area of improvement needed was the breakfast bouffet. You served the same entree every morning--3 mornings--and, of course, it was something we didn't care for! You also need more selection of fruit (only bananas) and pastries.

old hotel trying to revive itself

Posted May 17, 2014
Pros: small facility with nice staff
Cons: serious remodeling needed
Location: not in a great location but fairly close to the university, if that's your destination
being remodeled, not completed, strange paint & carpets that don't match, old furniture & older mattress that was worn out.

Graduation weekend

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: Clean and being renovated. Great for the weekend.
Cons: Nothing. It was nice.
Location: I was there for graduation so I am not sure what other things are nearby. My stay was pre-planned with graduation activities.
Booked a king room. Plans changed and staff worked with us to get us a double room for the 3rd night of the stay. Very helpful, friendly staff.

Nice hotel location but under renovation

Posted May 5, 2014
I have stayed at this hotel in the past with very positive experiences but this time it was under renovations and the desk staff were not very pleasant. My husband and I were in town to run a marathon so we chose this hotel because it was close to UNL's campus (start and end point of the marathon) and it had a noon checkout time. Upon arriving we found out that the check out time was 11 and I asked if we could have a noon check out because of the marathon and they said no. I told them that there website did say a noon checkout and they didn't believe me. Luckily, with a smart phone I could prove the checkout time and we got it extended. I won't stay a second time... the convenience of the location does not trump the attitude of the staff.

This Hotel was under a remodel stage when we were there, but staff helped in any way possible. They opened the pool just for us when the remodel was in the area. Very happy with staff. Will be excellent when remodel is done

Hotel in need of an update

Posted Mar 18, 2014
This hotel has recently changed hands. It is badly in need of updates and they do seem underway - new paint in rooms was obvious by the drips on the molding and tape still on part of the door frame. But the carpeting is old and stained, doors older, and furniture tired. Our room was relatively clean and beds neatly made. Morning breakfast was fine, but not exceptional. The small staff seemed a little overwhelmed by the crowd from the Division 3 National Track Meet.
