Anniversary stay

Posted Oct 26, 2014
Cons: Provide care for those who paid to stay in your hotel ($266/night btw), not just those that are buying booze before the game.
We stayed here the night before a Saturday morning Husker game. There were a lot of Husker festivities, more than I had anticipated. I didn't realize the party would be so huge and that Embassy Suites would host such a bash. The fans were kind but LOUD, even at 6:45 a.m. Breakfast hours were only until 9 a.m., which is disappointing (was hoping it would be open until at least 10 a.m.) and there were fans coming in to eat for free. There was no one asking for proof of having stayed there so we were sharing breakfast with hundreds of others in red. The line for the pancakes/omelettes was 30 deep and there was nowhere to sit. I love Embassy Suites but would not choose to stay there on a Husker game weekend. And when it was time to leave, valet was so busy parking cars for Husker fans that we waited for 35 minutes to get our vehicle. Valet was severely understaffed which made for a disappointing last bit of our time there. It's not like they hadn't dealt with home Husker games before. Clearly, they are a party hub after having seen all of the temporary bars set up in the lobby.

Great hotel in downtown Lincoln

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Great location, happy hour, breakfast, friendly and helpful staff
Location: Great for downtown stays for events at Memorial Stadium or the Pinnacle Bank Area
I stayed at the Embassy Suites for a concert that was taking place at the Pinnacle Bank Area. It was a few blocks from the arena, which was nice not to have to drive to the arena. Very close to the Haymarket District which is great entertainment. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. You get free drink tickets for the hotels happy hour and free breakfast in the morning. We would stay here again.

Wedding respite

Posted Sep 16, 2014
We booked a total of 8 nights for our wedding party. Everyone loved the rooms, and especially the soft, comfy beds! Everyone was excited but exhausted, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and gracious. Particularly Christopher, who not only helped us with our luggage and car, he was warm and personable, and made our experience that much better. He also got us a wedding gift-goody bag! We intend to stay again some weekend just for a short getaway, and will be calling to find out what weekend Christopher is working. All together a fabulous experience.

Hidden fees

Would have been nice to know about your vale fee....$60 is a little excessive just to park my car for one night.

Good location for the game.

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Close to stadium and restaurant on site.
Cons: Evening reception could use more options for snacks. Tortilla chips and sauces seemed lacking.
Need to be tolerant of the noise and lots of people on game day, but place is great. Would advise valet parking as the best route for car as city owns parking lots and leases them on game days and long term parking meters are few. If you are lucky to get one, can buy all day pass on game day.

Pros: Location
Location: Univ of NE Lincoln
Even though it is a very busy hotel, all of the staff were very pleasant and my room was quiet!
