return tripPosted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: See the above.
Cons: Maybe have the breakfast buffet run until 9:30.
Location: The Haymarket area has multiple restaurants, shops and bars, as well as events at Pinnacle Bank Arena and the UNL. performing arts center.
This is my favorite hotel in Lincoln. The access to UNL as well as the Haymarket shops and restaurants is outstanding - everything is within easy walking distance. All the staff at this hotel are extremely welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast buffet and happy hour are a great deal, and make this a good value. When I travel to Lincoln 2-3 times a year, I always attempt to book my stay at this hotel.

Hotel needs a faceliftPosted Jun 7, 2015
While the location is great this hotel needs a facelift. It's a typical embassy suites configuration but it looks like it hasn't been touched since it was first built several years ago. Maybe a 3 star hotel back then but not now. Carpet was worn, one door handle fell off in the room, the tub was obviously damaged and attempted to be repaired. The AC was noisy like a worn out bearing in the motor.

Great hotel in a convenient locationPosted May 4, 2015
Pros: Comfort, complementary snacks, quiet
Location: Great dinning and University related events
Hotels in Omaha were going at a premium price due to the Berkshire-Hathaway meeting. The Lincoln Embassy Suites was well worth the short drive to Lincoln.

Nice Hotel but the need bigger beds!Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: The reception party and the pool.
Cons: Queen size beds!!!
Location: Husker Football and Haymarket
The reception party is nice. I just feel they should have queen size beds instead of doubles for the rate they charge.

Nice hotel close to UNL and Memorial StadiumPosted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Location can't be beat. Having breakfast and a few cocktails included helps to offset the higher price to stay here. Nice big comfortable rooms.
Cons: Breakfast needs to be reconfigured - set up another breakfast station next to the other bar on the opposite side so that it is not so congested.
Location: UNL and Memorial Stadium are just a few blocks away. Walking distance to go to the Haymarket District and lots of restaurants and stores nearby.
We came to town for the Spring Game and were able to stay here. Don't expect to self park on any game day including spring game. The hotel has no owned parking and the City closes the ramps for games so you will valet or not park. Valet parking is reasonable and the valets are quick and efficient, just plan on that expense. The rooms are big and comfortable. Our room was not well cleaned though - we moved the ottoman to pull out the sofabed and there was a cheeto under it. The hotel on game day is a zoo. Expect long delays for an elevator - lots of kids playing on them too which made it worse. The breakfast buffet is good but the line for the order breakfasts were sometimes 30+ people. There is only one station with 2 cooks so expect to wait if you want any bacon, omelet or sausage. The buffet had french toast sticks, scrambled eggs, country potatos and cold items - grapefruit slices, yogurt, cereal, breads. Coffee, milk, chocolate milk and soft drinks. On game day, the staff had a hard time keeping up but they did a good job. Our check in and check out were fast. Very close to the stadium and walking distance to the Haymarket.

Stayed here for the NU Spring gamePosted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Great staff, comfortable rooms...excellent place for true Husker fans!
Cons: Breakfast line is long.
Location: In the heart of Husker nation!
Great place to stay during a game weekend!! They do hike up the price for those weekends, but it is so conveniently located that it is worth every penny! The staff is polite, fun, and knowledgeable. We have never had a negative experience after several stays at this location.
