The problem with this hotel is slow elevators, crowding in the hallway next to the event venue (impossible to get by with suitcases). The parking garage is over crowded and VERY tight. However, the bed and pillows were comfortable, the room was clean and roomy, the location is premium. Overall, my main issues were congestion. But once you get past that the stay is quite comfortable.

Average hotel. Convenient for NLU activities.

I wasn't real thrilled that we arrived fairly late, due to weather and airport delays, that there were no options to getting food. Again, we needed to leave by 6:30 am to get to 7am appointment and were not able to breakfast, due to the operational times. I prefer the hotels that have a lite breakfast venue that begins early and you can walk through at your own choosing.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The parking garage was attached to the hotel and made it easy to get in and out.

Great location, friendly staff

Pros: The hotel was in a great spot. We walked to several restaurants downtown.
Cons: The bathroom was very narrow.
Location: There are great restaurants near by and the University.
We changed our mind about the bed situation in the room and the staff was accommodating.

Located in downtown Lincoln; has some age to it

Pros: Bed was very comfortable. Good pillows. The fitness room was adequate.
Cons: Tell guests about the funky hotel room doors, before sending them to their rooms. Consider higher quality windows, to block out more street noise.
Location: The location is great, next to the historic Haymarket District. You can walk to almost any kind of entertainment venue, easily, from this hotel.
When we checked in, received our card key, and went up to the room, it seemed as if the door was bolt locked. We slid the card, green light came on, pulled latch down, but couldn't open the door. So, we went back down to the front desk. There, the same employee who checked us in, said some of the hotel doors are installed upside down, so you have to push up on the latch. I have never lifted a latch on a hotel door in my life, so this might have been good information to possess when we were first given the card key. When it was time for bed, we realized how much noise we could hear. The noise from the street below was surprisingly loud. Then, around 1:00 to 2:00 a.m., it got noisy in the hallway as well. We were on the third floor, with our window facing north (which should have been a quieter street than the windows facing east).

Great stay

Pros: Everything! Holdiay Inn is a great hotel chain!
Cons: I was bummed that even though I hung my towel on the back of the door to stay green, it was taken by the cleaning staff.
Location: Holiday Inn was right in downtown Lincoln on the edge of Haymarket Square. There are great shops within walking distances, restaurants and movies.
The hotel was great! I have never had a bad experience with Holiday Inn. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful, friendly and cheerful. Information about what to do aound Lincoln was readily accessible in the lobby.
