Great hotel, shame about shower.Posted Nov 12, 2014
Can't complain about the hotel staff, service or room standard. Chef cooked us breakfast after we missed it due to being misinformed about the times. Just a shame the shower wasn't very powerful.

Great view of the wharfPosted Sep 21, 2014
Cons: Drainage overflow outside our room
Location: Located on the wharf with restaurants & cinema within walking distance, town was about 10 minute walk away
Booked this hotel as my daughter & I were visiting the University of Lincoln for an open day on the Saturday. Which is just across the river so we were able to walk, having parked our car in the hotel car park. Plenty of restaurants along the wharf & everyone is really friendly. Would definitely stay here again. We had a standard room with a king size bed, room was a good size and bed was comfy. There is also a Starbucks Coffee shop within the hotel which was handy for breakfast.

Utsökt frukostPosted Sep 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
Den var fin och bekväm. Då vi skulle tillbringa dagen överst på kullen var det inte det bästa valet men i annat fall ett perfect hotel

Very comfortable stayPosted Sep 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
From the moment we arrived at the hotel the staff couldn't do enough for us. They were friendly, approachable and conscientious. All areas of the hotel were very clean and our room was very clean and comfortable. The only things that could be improved would be electric sockets at the bedside - I use my mobile phone as an alarm clock and usually charge it overnight, however the only sockets were on the opposite wall above the desk. Also the wifi was not reliable or very fast - which in this day and age just isn't efficient enough. The hotel is set in a busy commercial area where there are a large amount of restaurant chains. There was some noise but we expected that on a Friday night, and within half an hour of closing time of the restaurants things quietened down. The breakfast was fantastic value for the charge. I'd complained to my friends at what I had had to pay however there is a very good range of pastries, juice options, cereals and a full english - all of which is buffet style, so I feel the price is justified. The service areas and seating areas were very clean and the staff were very friendly and smiley - just what you need first thing in the morning. I'm planning to use this hotel again next year for a longer stay.

GREAT SPOT FOR A TRIP TO LINCOLN!Posted Sep 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
Stayed here on the way up to Yorkshire. The hotel is in a wonderful spot on Brayford Wharf pedestrian area along which you have to drive to get to the hotel. There is a convenient large car park behind the hotel which only costs £5.00 overnight for guests. The room was a little dated but clean and perfectly acceptable. There was a large bed with a good choice of pillows. The bathroom had soft white fluffy towels. The only toiletry provided was shower/hand wash (a bit hard to squeeze out of the wall mounted container) although there was a sign to say that other items were available at Reception upon request. There are plenty of bars and restaurants close by for dinner and a Wetherspoon serving breakfast for £5.00 if you decide not to pay for it at the hotel. After checking in we walked through the excellent shopping area and up the (very steep!) hill to the old part and the Cathedral stopping on the way at the Rest Cafe & Boutique Hotel for coffee and cake. On the way down we stopped for 2 for 1 cocktails at the Slug & Lettuce before eating outside at Nandos overlooking the water in the sunshine. Breakfast in the hotel was very good, hot and fresh. All in all a nice place to stop for an overnight trip to Lincoln

Great place - but Hard to get there!Posted Sep 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
Overall a great stay. The hotel is in a great location and the room / Hotel was clean, the food was really nice. The issue I would say is finding it, as they have closed of the road where the Satnav takes you. I did ring the hotel but took a few times to answer, when they did answer, they instructed us to the car park, but the new way does not have any signs and looks like you cant drive along there. if they added signs, then it would correct this issue.

Comfortable and in a great positionPosted Aug 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
Just a bit disappointed to get a "Cathedral view", rather than over the water. You can see the Cathedral in the distance, but the view is really over several ugly car parks. We wondered if the room allocation was influenced by the rate we got through Hotels.com. Apart from that, no problems at all. Comfortable room, adequate bathroom and good breakfast with plenty of choice.
