Really great although poor wi-fi. Terrific location on beach and central to this pretty town.

Nice hotel close to the beach.Posted May 17, 2015
Very beautiful hotel on the beach, close to shopping and a wonderful walking path. Staff very helpful but a little stiff and formal for our taste.

wonderful staff, but renovations ongoingPosted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: They are very welcoming to kids even though they are not marketing themselves as child friendly in particular. The food and accommodation was great.
Cons: Communication about renovations. Very late in day and had no idea they could go on so late into the evenings.
Location: Lots of restaurants, shops, beach.
The staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful and overall the stay was lovely. The food is fantastic. Unfortunately part way through our stay, renovations started up, which were noisy and dusty. A note was left in our room informing us after the event of the start of them. We were then unable to enjoy more than a few seconds on the balcony, as there was constant noise. They gave us a discount of approx. 1 night's stay when we left, although would have preferred to have been informed when we checked in that works were coming and would still be ongoing at 6.45pm on a Friday evening... We would still recommend the hotel and the staff.

Wonderful hotel near beachPosted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: The view and staff.
Location: The town has many things to do and you can take a short trip by train to Lisbon.
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was incredible, specifically, one special employee, who really helped us out. The hotel is near the down town area of Cascais. There is a grocery store nearby and also a Metro Station. The breakfast was lovely as well. We did not get to enjoy the beach, due to weather, but it was very nice. I wish i could go and visit again.

A beautiful hotelPosted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: We liked pretty well everything. The helpfulness of the staff seemed to us to come from pride in their hotel and real kindness. We will go again.
Cons: The wi-fi is free, but erratic. Having said that, maybe this a place you could easily go to and leave the technology behind?
Location: We liked Cascais very much, and you can walk everywhere you need to get to (restaurants, shops) in about 10 minutes, max, and these start at the door.
We stayed here for three days. The hotel was just as good as - better than - I had hoped it would be (and I arrived with high hopes). We were so pleased we had chosen a room with a sea view and a balcony; those have made staying in such a lovely place the memorable experience I know it will be. Right on the beach, atop low, rugged cliffs long tamed, with views over to the harbour and marina close by, and, on a clear day, to Cape Espichel way off to the south, the hotel is also nicely quiet - very welcome given its closeness to the train station and all the amenities of the town centre. Even on the first, dull, wet and cold day, this was a welcoming and comfortable place to be, that imbued a sense of well-being. Staff are very professional, very good at their jobs, and very welcoming, providing a level of unobtrusive care that is a particularly attractive feature of this hotel. We did not eat meals at the hotel - they looked excellent - but did enjoy the lavish breakfasts; fresh fruit in abundance and of many kinds, prepared in ways that made the plate look as good as it tasted. Good, hot pots of tea, breads, omelettes, cheeses, all the usual breakfast fare, but served unfussily and with the kind of unforced good taste that is a mark of real quality.

Great location. Bit dated.Posted Mar 20, 2015
The staff were excellent. They helped park the car and were very nice and effective. The room was fine but was a bit dated, or maybe a little more old-fashioned might be a better way to describe it. The views were fantastic and the lobby etc were nice. Very good breakfast. The bed was hard. We seem to prefer softer beds anyway (or tempurpedic) but they were harder than they should be for a hotel. It did seem a bit dusty as both of us were sneezing a lot. I liked it enough so it's fine.

Lovely small hotel on the beachPosted Mar 8, 2015
Pros: The service. Everything worked even the WIFI The location - the bar above the water, the restaurant above the beach The beautiful wall tiles
Cons: Tea, coffee at breakfast.
Location: Lots of restaurants, bars, beaches, museums, parks etc. Everything in Cascais is close by, including the railway station
I don't normally stay in 5 star hotels. We had a very pleasant stay there. Our room, overlooking the street was spacious and comfortable with a huge bathroom with a bath (a big bonus at the end of a tiring day). The dining room is a well proportioned room with lovely views over the beach and to Cascais Bay. In the morning the light streams in and you can see dogs running round on the beach and there was even a tame seagull on the window sill intent on my breakfast! The breakfasts were copious with a range of foods and drinkable fruit juices (I only like fresh ones). The tea and coffee were the only two things that let them down a bit, but if you ask for an expresso or cappuccino it's better. We ate in a couple of times during our five night stay and had lovely food, in a beautiful setting well served.
