Great boutique hotel in a lively part of the cityPosted Sep 25, 2013
Lovely staff and great rooms. Amazing views from the 6 floor roof terrace bar. The Bairro Alto area of Lisbon is also great for drinks and food, and is a really vibrant part of the city. Highly recommend this hotel!

A truly outstanding vacation experience!Posted Sep 24, 2013
Pros: As above.
Location: The hotel is located adjacent to the Chiado and Baixa, both areas with abundant shops, restaurants, entertainment.
The Bairro Alto Hotel is beautiful, perfectly located, and extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and attended to all my needs and questions. The hotel restaurant, Flores do Bairro, was absolutely superb - the best meals I had in Portugal! - and all the waitstaff were simply excellent. Though the rooftop dining area gets a bit crowded at times, the staff did everything possible to accommodate the guests, and it is a beautiful place to have a light meal or a drink.

Lisbon I will be back!Posted Aug 2, 2013
Pros: The staff!
Cons: Not much of a view from the hotel room but can't be helped due to layout of city.
Location: Nice and central, close to tourist sight seeing spots. Wear good walking shoes, mostly cobble stone and very hilly, adds to the charm of the city.
Staff were very friendly, tentative and extremely courteous and very proud of their city, best hotel experience in one of the best cities I have visited in my travels.

Wow - what a lovely experience staying at this small but so friendly hotel- will recommend to all our friends and definitely would return- it is situated in a great location but you need to be fit to climb all the hills- the rooftop bar gives a superb view over the city- breakfasts were good and varied

Can't imagine a better hotel in Lisbon. It is right in the center of Barrio Alto, across the street from a metro, and proximal to shopping, sightseeing, and the train station. A little park is across the street, providing a great location for a drink, relaxing, strolling or people-watching. Despite the centrality the hotel is very quiet, there is no noise from the outside, and the heavy black out curtains are sleep inducing to the max. The hotel staff is excellent. Extremely courteous, helpful, and attentive. But the housekeeping staff is in a league of its own. In all my travels I can't say that I had a better maintained room. Even to the point, one evening at turn down, of taking two pieces of a broken piece of candy and putting them back together on a wrapper. The complimentary breakfast is superb-- all you can eat and everything you could ever want. A five star experience all the way.

The friendliest hotel we have ever been to.Posted Jul 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
We are going back..... Roof top bar needed a fan for a breeze in the heat wave we were in, but the view was terrific. Food wonderful, beds great, and very clean. Hello to all at the hotel. Thank you for the best stay. The McLeans.

Perfect hotel, perfect location.Posted Jul 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
My wife and I stay at lixury hotels all over the world, and none have been better than this one. The location is unbelievable. The deluxe room is practically perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful. All this and fresh squeezed grapefruit juice in the morning. I would never stay anywhere else in Lisbon.

Not a five star hotelPosted Jun 23, 2013
The Hotel is excellently located . The service and amenities is probably 3-4 star. Our room was fairly dark and cramped but clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. We did ask for help with restaurant recommendations and unfortunately both recommendations on both nights were quite poor. One restaurant had only 1 other couple in it.
