“Great relaxing experience”

This is a top notch hotel, that gives the customer a feel for resort life. The staff was exceptional and satisfied our every need. The location is outstanding and a short walk to the heart of Cascais. I would strongly suggest staying during the week. My only complaint is the proximity to Coconuts, a night club nearby. The music is loud on Friday and Saturday night. Our room was farthest away and we could still hear the base of the music with our windows and drapes closed. Other than that, our stay was wonderful and the food at the restaurant was exceptional.

An incredibly friendly hotel with a high level of service. The hotel has a great location right on the sea, a 10 minute walk from the centre of Cascais. We found the restaurant food with its great selection of sushi a real treat, the best in Cascais, and the best location. overall, the hotel has an incredibly relaxed feel to it. If you're looking for a bit of luxury.. this is the place

“Great oceanside hotel”

Really enjoyed our stay. The room and room's balcony had a great view of the ocean. The room was very spacious by european standards and clean. The bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent.

“Yay”

This was a father-daughter trip for me and I have to admit, upon viewing the pictures of the hotel online, I was a little afraid it was going to be too "hip" for my small town dad. But with all of the glowing reviews, I decided to book anyway. Everything was wonderful. We got a room with a beautiful view, we listened to the ocean at night, everyone in the hotel was very nice and helpful, and my dad was extremely happy. The only bump that we hit during our stay was at the very beginning. After an overnight flight from the U.S., we arrived at the hotel only to find that check-in wasn't until 3pm. However, the staff did everything they could to shorten the amount of time that we had to wait. A very minor inconvenience. Everything else was awesome! Yay!

“Beautiful view”

Although I didn't have a waterfront room, it sure felt like it...lovely private patio outside my room had nice lounge chairs, a pretty palm tree and great view of the water. There was a nice breakfast buffet and a nice walk into town. The edgy feel of the hotel gave me a laugh...just because that's not my style, but people into that will love it. Very nice stay...

“Trendy hotel with lots of character in a stunning location.”

My wife and I are traveling Europe for 6 months and have stayed at hotels all over Europe and this was one to remember. It is located on the cliffs of a perfect little beach town in Portugal just outside of Lisbon. The hotel is Chic and the rooms are decorated with lots of style. They aren't kept up perfectly, but the views more than make up for it. Watching the sunset from the window in our room was awesome. Breakfast is included and is pretty good. there is free Internet in the rooms via ehternet chord. Beautiful walks down an uncrowded coast are just outside the hotel and the main part of the town is only about 5 minutes on foot. I would definitely recommend this hotel and this town as a stop if you go to Portugal.

“Best small hotel in Lisbon”

While it will take a short train ride to get to downtown Lisbon, the Farol Hotel is worth it!! Situated right on the rocks, the crashing surf directly below our balcony lulled us to sleep each night. The hotel was very clean and the staff exceptionally helpful. If you plan to spend a few days in and around Lisbon, this is the place to stay.

“Amazing find - good things do come in small packages”

Fab 34 room seaside hotel with interior and exterior beauty. Rooms/common areas uniquely designed by various artists, and ocean side rms offer breathtaking views of Atlantic. A+ buffet breakfast included with stay served in restaurant/sun deck each AM. Food was otherwise average, and the menu doesn't change, so plan to have some meals out. Staff are exceptional, and definitely add to the experience. One caution: there is a disco next door open on Friday and Saturday - Do NOT get a room on the front side on those nights, unless you're going to be at the disco! Whether you're into a romantic weekend, some time alone, a small business meeting, or just a great place to visit, this one should not be missed!

“lap of luxury”

The Farol Design Hotel exceeded all our expectations. The location is fantastic, the rooms and grounds were gorgeous, the complimentary breakfast was delicious, and we were treated like royalty. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for relaxation and pampering.
