Great deal!!Posted Nov 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
We chose this hotel because it offered a great rate that included free breakfast, free wifi, and free parking (very rare). It's not in the heart of the city, but there's a subway station right outside, and the YellowBus (city tour bus) stops just a few blocks away (10 min. walk). The entire staff was very courteous and helpful; the breakfast buffet had a complete selection of hot and cold items; and, the rooms were nice, except for the half-door bathtub enclosure that allowed water to spray out and go all over the floor when taking a shower. Our only real complaint was that we couldn't find any nice restaurants for dinner within walking distance, so we ended up eating dinner at the hotel for our two nights there. Good food, but nothing special.

Nice HotelPosted Jul 7, 2013
Location: Not prime to downtown but close to the airport (10 minute drive)
We stayed at this hotel for one night before our flight leaving Portugal. We did not go downtown from this hotel but it is not in the downtown core. The room was pretty small but fine for one night. It was very clean and comfortable with AC and a nice bathroom. Our first room smelt of smoke and we requested to move which they did so quickly. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The restaurant is very good for both dinner and breakfast.

Pros: Nice hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. comfortable location Good wifi, for a modest fee
Cons: quite a few coach tours so getting a seat at breakfast could be a bit of a challenge if you want to eat at the same time- not a massive problem
Location: at athe conference centre - which is miles from most hotels. But door to door bus, and taxi rank outside. Not in the old town though
Went for a conference. Good accommodation at a reasonable price

3.5 stars from a business travelerPosted Apr 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very nice and clean hotel. A little bit far north for the action, but an easy cab ride to Bairro Alto AND the airport. Disappointed that the double bed was 2 twins pushed together with separate sheets.

Excellent hotel and lovely staff!!!Posted Mar 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very nice hotel. Really good location and excellent staff, always happy to help with everything and recommend places to go and restaurants to have lovely meals (they even book a table in a restaurant for us because we don't speak Portuguese). The parking is free and they didn't charge us any extra for keeping our car until 4pm on our day of departure! I would definately come back!

Good hotel to stay.Posted Dec 3, 2012
Pros: Strategic location, and friendly staff.
Location: Close to airport, close to cruise ship port, next to Metro (underground trains)
I like this hotel. This was my second time stay with them. The have free internet, very cheap fee for WiFi access. The location suits me because it's close to airport and close to cruise sheep port - I can access to either location with less than 10 EUR by taxi. Although it is a distance away from the downtown, but the Metro is right next to it so one can go anywhere desired. Metro is not expensive either.

Variable cost from AirportPosted Nov 2, 2012
Good hotel just outside the city centre and close to the airport. It's right on top of a metro station (place de espana) so easy to get into the city and to the airport. A manic Corte Ingles store is one stop away. One word of warning about getting to/from the airport. We were ripped off on arrival late at night - get a taxi voucher from the airport if you can to avoid this. The hotel provides a fixed fare service to get back to the airport at €14 but in fact the meter rate is only about €8. We expected to get the Aerobus back to the airport at €3.50, as it also stops across the road from the hotel, but after waiting over an hour (supposed to run every 30 mins) we gave up. Otherwise I'd stay here again now that I understand the transportation better.
