Nice hotel, close to the tube station

Posted Jul 12, 2014
Nice hotel, good value for money. Close to the tube station, car park on site. Easy to travel around by the car or the tube. Shame there is not any restaurant close to the hotel. Car park fees a bit high, check before you'll hire the car ;)

Close to metro stations

Posted Jun 20, 2014
Pros: Rooftop terrace view during breakfast
Location: Not much to do in the vacinity except relax in the nearby park.
Made an error when reserving the room. Reserved for 1 person and got the tiniest room on earth. In order to change for my wife and me, hotel policy made me pay an additional 25euro/night since I paid in advance and it was non-refundable. Oh well, at least I didn't have to pay a rack rate. Fine breakfast on the hotel rooftop with wonderful view watching the planes gliding through the building on their way for a landing.

Budget hotel between the airport and Lisbon CC

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Patio on the 7th floor, clean and tidy, close to metro station, taxi is about 8 euro to get there from the airport (or red metro line - get off@Alameda)
Cons: more varied breakfast
Location: close to the Alameda metro station , close to the airport and city centre , quiet location .
Good value for money , very clean , the staff speaks fluent English. Rooms are average but very clean . The best thing is the terrace / patio with a nice view on Lisbon .

Posted Jun 13, 2014
1.2 miles from center of town- walkable- metro is 1/8 mile away fro those not into walking. Can take metro from airport and walk 1/8 mile or 2 blocks) to hotel. park close by as small eateries close by. Some chairs on rooms with balconies would be nice as would keeping nice balcony area on 7th floor open beyond breakfast during the day. Wine is facility would be nice (did have beer) Staff is excellent and very clean hotel.

Small but served the purpose

Posted Jun 10, 2014
We stayed here because of cost and closeness to airport . Plus we had 4 adults. I would suggest not to go out walking around the hotel and it is not a good area of town. We went to find a restaurant and found ourselves in a very shaded area of town . Not feeling very comfortable as tourists !

This hotel is a scam,

Posted May 27, 2014
I flew in for the real Madrid football match. The hotel charged 1500 hundred dollars for 2 nights. And it over booked or something (said the room had a flood) so it shifted my brother and I to another hotel in the slums, I wouldn't even leave my suitcase there, so we went back to the dom afonso hotel and they declined to give me a refund on my Money. The manager was very rude, she even placed a call to the other hotel saying that it's in my behalf and that I made a mistake and that the there hotel. Was horrible and tried to cancel the room with out my permission. Even when I told her to phone Expedia.com she dialed hotels.com on purpose and I was arguing with the agent that he couldn't find my reservation, everything was a lie coming from her, I felt like I was being taken advantage of and disrespected, she ruined my vacation and held me there for 6 hours, I use Expedia often I never checked in at any point or did I ever agree to stay at another hotel that they shifted me off to, I want a full refund and an apology

Very nice hotel at a great price.

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff and quiet area.
Cons: This was just a great Hotel with everything you need at a great price. We would definitely stay there again.
Location: The only fault with this Hotel is that it is not close to the "Heart" of the city, although it is close to the Metro.
Very easy to reach from the Oriente train station or the airport via the Metro. A cab to the airport is 7.00 Euros and takes only 10 minutes. Staff gave us very precise directions to reach the hotel, and also arranged the morning taxi pick-up. Pepe & Olivia Pizzaria is a few steps away for good Italian food at a good price.

Perfect for us

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: WIFI / Location
Cons: Larger towels
We used this holiday for a weekend break and found the hotel to be perfect for our needs staff were friendly and helpful responding to email enquires prior to arrive quickly and in excellent English. The rooms were clean and comfortable and if you take the breakfast option you get the standard continental affair with Cereal / Bread / Meats / Pastries / Drinks / Scrambled Egg was also available and there is a lovely balcony on the top floor where you can eat. The free wifi at the hotel also worked perfectly and was fast something many of the bigger hotels should aspire to. The hotel is at the top of a hill so please consider this if you think it will be an issue for you and the nearest Metro station is about 10 minutes walk away

Clean room friendly staff

Posted May 12, 2014
Pros: Clean and comfortable with helpful staff
Cons: Nothing I saw. For price, as expected
Location: Got taxis to and from where I needed to go
Comfortable stay. A little smell of cigarette smoke in the corridor and in my room from somewhere, but all in all, good value hotel.
