“A Great Hotel at a Great Price”

My friend and I had wished to stay in another hotel but that was fully booked. We were a bit wary of the Hotel Da vila but our wariness was unnecessary because this hotel was well located, friendly, comfortable and extremely clean. You can pay much more for something of similar quality but what would be the point of that? So yes, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone but the snooty and the deluded.

“Best place to stay in Cascais”

Cascais is a very small town, and da Vila is located right in its center, within a 2 min walk from the beach and 5 min walk from the railway station. Rooms are nicely decorated, air-conditioned, all towels are changed every day on default. Receptionists are very friendly and helpful. Perfect price-to-quality ratio (better book it beforehand!). Breakfast is a bit expensive, but there are a lot of cafes around where you can have your morning coffee. The only disadvantage is the lack of free wifi (there is a computer in the lobby, where you can use internet for a short time, but you have to pay about 7 euros a day to use wifi in rooms). But it won't spoil your stay in this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay there!

“good for the price but great location”

great location for the price but not as clean as we would have liked it. the service and employees were wonderful! they made the hotel great! of course in europe when they say "double bed" they mean two twins pushed together. we would stay there again.

“I'd certainly go again”

A lovely hotel in a beautiful town. Just a couple of minor annoyances. The hotel does not have the name outside anywhere, so you have to ask. It could just as easily be an office block. Once inside however, it's everything you could want. There is an underground car park, for which the hotel charges by the day. I didn't particularly object to this but if you're going to be based in Cascais and wish to visit Lisbon it simply isn't worth hiring a car in the first place. The station is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel and the return fare to Lisbon (half an hour each way) is only just over half what the hotel car park costs! I'm thinking of returning later in the year and I will use public transport. All in all though, a lovely hotel in a delightful part of Portugal.

“cosy and modern”

I really enjoyed my recent stay at this small hotel which provided excellent service both in terms of the room and the people. The hotel is walking distance to all the sights in Cascais and is very central and at the same time, has a tucked away feel. I highly recommend this hotel and don't miss the 3rd floor reception room and terrace.

“Great value in the off-season”

This was a very clean and nice hotel - though the rooms can be described as minimalist, everything is modern and neat. It was quite inexpensive in the off-season, but I imagine that, much like the town, it would be quite pricy in the summer (the stores in town are mostly designer names like Hugo Boss and the like). If I'd paid a four star price, I might have been annoyed that the maid service came at 8pm one day (staffing problems around New Year's Eve, it seems), but they got me fresh towels and that was all I needed. I was quite satisfied. And the girls at the reception desk were great with advice.

Clean, very friendly staff, very central and I had no problems with noise. I recommend it.

“Great Location - Some Limitations”

This hotel is in a great location. Rooms are small but clean and minimally furnished. There is a great 'living room' with patio on the third floor which is a nice bonus. Limitations: Nearby club played loud music into early morning hours! Lighting in the room was not good for reading. Likewise, no chair - just a bed and small desk.
