“clean room, excellent location”

me and my girlfriend stayed at Hotel Florida for 5 nights. the room was always clean. the location is excellent as it is located at the border of the old down town and sao sebastiao. it is right at the marques de pombal metro station. rossio (let's say the main square) is a 10-minute walk or 2 stops with underground.

“A very conveniently located hotel in Lisbon”

Florida hotel is more a 3 stars hotel than a 4 stars. It definitely does not have the facilities expected in a 4 stars hotel. However, we enjoyed staying there for several reasons: - the location is super convenient: it is 2 min walk from the Marques de Pombal metro station, therefore very well connected to the city metro network, there is a bank teller near the metro station and a supermarket at 5 minutes walk. And if one does not want to take the metro, it is about 20 minutes walk from Plaça do commercio. - the room was spacious (however, the bathroom, was really old and not very well equipped) and the tv had a great choice of international channels (and not only CNN-BBC!!) - the staff was very friendly and helpful.

“Best in Lisbon!”

I have traveled almost all over the world and Hotel Florida is in my top 5 list. Location is the best. Cleanliness is the best. Hospitality is the best. Only annoying thing is the sound coming from the next building - i guess it was an A.C. sound, but too noisy. Service is great. Front desk answers all the questions you have , just like a travel guide. I am absolutetly recommending you this place. You will enjoy it.

“Nice Hotel & Good Value”

The hotel staff was friendly. A good size and clean room was provided and it was nicely design as was the rest of the hotel. The choices at breakfast were nice and the dining room has a beautiful view of the city.

“Not a four star hotel”

On a positive side, the hotel's location was really convenient. Nice neighborhood, great location (right across from the subway). Also, the breakfast was really nice, with a nice view, nice service, and hot and cold buffet. On the negative side, this hotel could NEVER be a 4 star hotel. There was a weird smell coming from the bathroom, the pillows and quilts - although clean - were very low-quality and the bed very uncomfortable. You could easily notice that the furniture and lamps were actually very cheap. The decoration was very cold. This was all worsened because the personnel gave us a room right next to the elevator (which was extremely disturbing and noisy), so please make sure that you get a better room when you check in. If they give you a room next to the elevator while the hotel is almost empty, this is really not a very good hospitality sign.

“LISBON´S BEST HOTEL”

The hotel service was great, the staff was always helpful and friendly. The location is excellent, with a metro stop just around the corner, also it is located next to avenida la libertade, that is the main avenue. The price is really good for the service you get. I would only sugest to the hotel´s management, to provide free wi-fi, because the hotel doesn´t have it. Anyway this hotel is really a great choice in Lisbon, besides that city is just wonderful, you´ll love it, we are anxious to go back!

“Lisboa Delight!”

This hotel had a lot of charm. I loved the decor from the beginning when I sourced in on the Expedia website. Theme rooms reflecting classic movies. The staff as well where very accomodating, helpful and friendly. They opened their breakfast a few minute early for me to grab a coffee and a bun before I had to catch my early flight home on a Sunday! Location is excellent, 2 minutes to the metro and the bus stop at the end of the street takes you to the airport so you can save on a taxi. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would also stay again next time in Lisboa.

“Very nice hotel.”

This is my second visit to Lisbon. The first visit I spent with family and the second was a business trip. The hotel is well-located and modern equipment. I got a room on 9th floor with balcony and city view. The balcony is huge, it was possible to spend the nights with glass of wine on the balcony. The room was large, with king-size bed, very quiet, with no minibar. Hotel staff is helpful, no problem with late bar or buying the internet card. Yes, the internet is not free in this hotel and the price is not well.
