Nice hotel steps away from Jeronimos Monastery.Posted Jan 12, 2014
Pros: Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful from the morning breakfast staff to the evening bar staff and especially the front desk staff.
Cons: Low seating in lobby is not good for people with bad knees.
Location: You can walk to the monastery, monument, palace, carriage museum and if a good walker, the Belem Tower. Many good restaurants nearby.
The front desk staff were super helpful, especially when we wanted a nice New Year's Eve dinner that evening. They called around and made reservations at an excellent place nearby. The bar is not used much and offers only a little food but was a nice, quiet haven after a busy day. There is also a large lobby area with low seating. Rooms are large and comfortable and quiet. Windows open. Bed had a nice warm comforter for our chilly nights. Breakfast buffet was fantastic but go early if you want a Belem pastry. We liked the convenience of being able to walk to so many sites The trolley stop which can take you into the old part of Lisbon and the Yellow Bus (tours) are next door. Location is excellent for all of the Belem sites.

Great location right next to Jeronimos. Excellent room in modern boutique style hotel. First class service from attentive but discreet staff.

Pleasant location with very helpful staffPosted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff , safe and clean environment
Cons: Rooms need a few finishing touches to improve a visitor's stay.
Location: see above
My friend and I picked this hotel as it was located very close to a conference we were both attending at the Lisbon Conference Centre. As a result it proved very convenient for us. It is situated in a historical area - near a monastery and various museums However if you wish to spend more time in the city this hotel is not so convenient - it also has no metro stop nearby. The room was clean and comfortable but lacked the details that would have justified the price we paid for it. It lacked any mirrors except for the one in the bathroom. This was not convenient when trying to get ready for the day or a night out. I requested an iron and was provided with a broken ironing board. With a few finishing touches the room would have lived up to our expectations

Great locationPosted Jul 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is well situated to view Belem. There is so much to see in this part of Lisbon and plenty of different places to eat. My husband and I enjoyed every day. Breakfast is good here and the staff helpful and friendly.

Great location, wonderful breakfasts, clean designPosted Jul 12, 2013
First visit to Lisbon and this hotel was a great base for exploring the city. The neighborhood Belem is not at the city center but is a destination itself so getting around was easy and there were lots of places to see, eat in, do in the immediate area. Famous Pasteis de Belem is half a block away and they even serve it at the hotel breakfast. We were attending a conference at the Universidade in Ajuda and getting there and back was as easy as a single bus ride; same for the city center. The neighborhood also has both the historic trams as well as the modern ones and locals take the buses to go to the beach. It's not the cheapest in the area but is probably the most modern in design for miles around, and it was well done.

Nice small hotelPosted Jul 6, 2013
Pros: Clean and comfortable.
Cons: Guess I am too use to US hotels that have clothing irons in the rooms. The ironing fees were too pricey.
Location: There are a number of museums in the area as well as great views of the Tagus River and the Golden Gate bridge replica .
Hotel Jeronimos 8 is a great little hotel with a very knowledgeable staff. It is a 15 minute tram (15 E) ride from the center of Lisbon but well worth it; 1.slower pace; 2. Plenty of great restaurants ; 3. Weather was nicer - at least 5-10 degrees cooler with a breeze off of the Tagus River; 5. Great breakfast ( and a Starbucks around the corner); and 6. Great museums! The hotel was Super clean and other than the first day when we sleep in never saw the doing the work but when we returned to the room everything was spotless.

Great location.Posted Jul 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
Compariable to other 4 star hotels around the world, the Jeronimos 8 realistically could be a 3 star hotel BUT the staff were very friendly, eager to please, it was clean and located in a great location. I did have to call the desk for bathroom essentials (towels, toilet paper etc) which they apologetically delivered within minutes. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Great Location for the Congress CentrePosted Jun 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed at the Hotel Jeronimos 8 for three days whilst attending a conference at the Congress Centre. They allowed me to check in early on arrival, which after an 18 hour journey was extremely welcome news. The hotel is about 25 minutes walk away from the Congress Centre, along a straight road, so no chance of getting lost; there are also buses and trams two minutes away from the hotel, so you can get to the congress centre and into town very easily. The beds are very comfortable, and the rooms are clean. The breakfast is fantastic, one of the best buffet selections that i have seen, and enhanced by the Pasteis de Belem that I discovered were available on the last day of my stay! The only thing that i would like to have seen in the room was an iron/ironing board, but that is only a minor criticism (and I didn't check, these might have been available on request). The monastary de Belem is just opposite, so I had a nice view from my bedroom window, and if in Lisbon for a holiday I would probably stay here again.

Excellent stay in LisbonPosted May 12, 2013
Clean and smart hotel. Quiet but still in a very good location with tram outsde just 15 mins into the centre. Lovely surrounding area too. Breakfast very good selection with an added extra of portugese custard tarts from a local famous bakery- nice touch. Only comment is bar staff unable to make mohitos despite being advertised and Gavin to wait 30mins for drinks in an thereise empty bar! Would still go back though!
