Hotel Jerónimos 8

Clean and smart hotel. Quiet but still in a very good location with tram outsde just 15 mins into the centre. Lovely surrounding area too. Breakfast very good selection with an added extra of portugese custard tarts from a local famous bakery- nice touch. Only comment is bar staff unable to make mohitos despite being advertised and Gavin to wait 30mins for drinks in an thereise empty bar! Would still go back though!

A great location with world class tourist sites and excellent restaurants within minutes. The location is also quiet during the night, good after a long day.

Jeronimos 8 is just next to the stunning Jeronimos Monastery which also houses the Museum of Archeology and the not-to-be-missed Maritime Museum. It is also very close to the many other monuments, gardens and museums. The hotel serves an extensive breakfast buffet with an array of cheeses, fruits, breads and pastries, smoked salmon, eggs, etc.--something for all tastes/ The deluxe room was large and well-appointed, but we had some problems with the air conditioning. When we opened the window, we could hear neighborhood noises, mostly not too loud, but one neighbor keeps roosters in a city coop! The staff was very helpful and made superb recommendations for dinner in the area--best seafood we have had in a country full of good seafood restaurants.

Myself and my fiancé stayed here over New Year's and it was lovely. The breakfast was fabulous and they provide Belem custard tarts each day (these are sold in a shop round the corner and there's a queue a mile long!). It's very clean and staff are helpful.

Great location, very friendly and helpful hotel personnel. Room was spacious and clean. I needed a boarding pass printed for my flight and the clerk did that for me.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay at Jeronimos 8. It was within 2 minutes of the tram that took us to the downtown area. The staff were all excellent, made suggestions for sightseeing trips and other tips which made our stay even more pleasant. The breakfast was included and was excellent and even included the custard pastries that people lined up for at a bakery a block away. The room and view were also great and was very clean. Wifi was available everywhere in the hotel and there was free parking on the street. There were only a few restaurants close by but there was a Starbucks and McDonalds for anyone missing this. Overall a pleasant stay and would stay here again if we return and recommend this hotel to others.
