“Lovely Hotel”

We had a 1 bed villa which had a kitchen, lounge, shower and then upstairs had a bedroom and en-suite bathroom. The villa also had a patio seating area which led onto a shared grassy garden. Our friends had a 2 bed villa which had the same as the 1 bed villa but with an extra en-suite bedroom. Towels, robes and good quality toiletries were provided. The facilities were great, service polite and very accommodating and views stunning. The spa sauna and steam room were clean and open till late; we went at 10pm and it was nice and quiet. There is a shuttle between the main hotel lobby and the villas which are more towards the back of the hotel, and there is also a shuttle which takes you into the main town and to the beach. Breakfast had a good range of options including champagne and an expresso machine. I would definately recommend this hotel - and not unreasonably priced when bought as a package.

“Better than expected”

Hotel better than expected. Location perfect. Staff very helpful. Room was overlooking golf course. Very clean, and kept tidy by the maid. Indoor pool and sauna's were just what was needed after the golf. Hotel bar and restaurant were expensive, so drove each evening, the 10 minutes into Cascais and ate at some good and reasonable restaurants. Just right for a quiet golf getaway.

“Cascais trip”

I recommend this hotel. It is a good value at the September rate. Rooms are great and if you golf it is better.

“Great Hotel”

Although we only had a one day stay it was for a break in a rather hectic schedule. We found it thoroughly relaxing in beautiful surroundings. The room was very spacious overlooking the golf course. The bar was generally quiet with friendly and helpful staff as was the restaurant.

“Superb Quinta da Marinha Resort”

What a wonderful experience! Quinta da Marinha Resort is a genuine 5 star hotel. We have stayed there before and enjoyed our stay very much once again. It is situated in a very distinguished residential woodland area. Adjacent to a top class golf course and tennis facility, is walking distance to the seashore. One can find the activity to suit all tastes inside and around the hotel. If I was to single out one thing about this hotel; it would be the superb service. Everybody is courteous and efficient and willing to help their guests. With a special mention for the Reception staff. You are made to feel special and welcome at all times. While at Quinta da Marinha one can fully enjoy the sunny Portugese "Costa del Sol". Cascais, Estoril and the vast beaches. There is a courtesy shuttle sevice form the hotel to the center of Cascais village. In summary we had a wonderful stay at Quinta da Marinha; are planning to go there again and would certainly recommend to all.

“Need a car”

Nice quiet location so need a car to explore further or to go into cascais. Breakfast buffet superb but be warned, if you like english breakfast it was cold every morning. Resteraunt prices what you would expect from 5 star hotel, cheaper resteraunts can be found locally but need transport. All staff are extremely friendly but make sure you get what you pay for. Receptionist tried to "upgrade!" us from one bedroom villa to hotel room with pool view ( how is this an upgrade ?) but after much communication relented and placed us in the villa which we had booked. Resort became busy at weekends especially with portugese with children, but was extremely quiet midweek. A very relaxing holiday in a nice area.

“Mixed feelings”

The hotel is very nice but if you aren't a golfer I would not recommend it as it is all about the golf, including a tiny swimming pool to make more room for a golf course. There were some over grown boy/men on a lads golfing jolly hanging banners from their balcony and singing loudly when drunk which the hotel seemed to endorse but I found annoying esp at a four star hotel. Breakfast was also a bit of a let down with the waiters seeming to pick and choose wheteher they served you tea or coffee or not. Everything is very expensive in the hotel and there is a feeling they are always trying to make money out of you. We asked to purchase an adapter plug and were quote 30 euros!! Moaning aside, the staff are very friendly and attentive and the hotel is very child friendly and in a lovely area. The spa and indoor pool are lovely and compensate for the outdoor pool being freezing cold. All in all, an ok experience. Would have been better if we played golf!

“Marihna could improve”

Fantastic location,beautiful surroundings and easy access with a car to Lisbon and town centre.Good shopping area near by.Perfect for families keen in playing golf but many other sports and entertainments are available.

“Nice and relaxing”

We had a lovely relaxing stay at this hotel - end of September is a good time to visit as it was nice and quiet after school holidays! The villas were lovely and really spacious, but there are no rooms with double beds (!!) so you have twin beds pushed together which is quite uncomfortable!

“Beautiful location - villas whilst completely acceptable could use an upgrade”

Excellent and peaceful location (though you'll definitely need a car) but otherwise it's a perfect base for exploring (with great ease). The staff are very helpful. Villas whilst comfortable enough could be made to be really lovely. Currently, they're a bit 1978 ! Even some small and simple upgrades would make a big difference.
