Great venue for restful holidayPosted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: We stayed in a villa on the grounds. This afforded us privacy and was probably less formal than a hotel stay
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: Within the resort you can golf, swim, walk & cycle, so there's plenty to do "on site". It's within a short distance of the sesside town of Cascais.
I stayed with a party of 3 in one of the villas in the resort. It was roomy, and very well equipped & provided a lovely base for our stay . The overall amenities are great, although the resort would be classed as quiet. Breakfast in the 5 star hotel was included in our package & was a wonderful luxury. The staff were friendly & efficient

Great golf and pool hotel in quiet location.Posted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: We loved the ambience and facilities. Food was good too.
Cons: I think the hotel could provide more frequent shuttle services eg beach, Sintra etc.
Location: About 15 minutes from Cascais. Great golf and lovely pools. tennis nearby was a trek but ok. Good food and excellent service.
The whole family a great time and are pining to return.

Great Facilities and staffPosted Sep 3, 2013
Location: Apart from Lisbon, Sintra definitely worth a visit.
Great 10 day stay at this hotel in one of their Villas. Hotel facilities are excellent and breakfast which was included in our stay was very good. Hotel staff are all extremely pleasant and helpful. The location is very peaceful with really nice landscaping and plenty of trees. It's only a few miles from the centre of Cascais but I would recommend a car. The hotel does run a courtesy bus but it's only once a day. The 2 bedroom villa we stayed in was spacious for a family of 5 and very comfortable, the only slight criticism was that the bathroom fittings were a bit tired and could do with replacing, all serviceable and clean though.

Nice hotel..spacious good size room with balconyPosted Aug 31, 2013
Pros: Spacious, pool area with view of golf course, free wi fi and free shuttle servuce.Friendly and welcoming staff
Cons: Breakfast choices
Location: Need taxi/shuttle to get main Cascais about 10-15 mins bike ride along coastline, cascais music festival, the old fort, parks, art exhibitin, beach
Lovely hotel, friendly staff and wonderful view from the pool overlooking the golf course. you will need taxi to get to the main centre but the hotel is placed amongst the most desirable land in Portugal. The only negative is that the breakfast is limited and lacks variety. .however Portugal is amazing ans I would retirn again

A great location with very friendly staff.Posted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: All staff go that extra mile to make guests stay special.
Cons: The cut backs we have noticed over the years.
Location: A great setting with good transport links.
This was our third visit to the hotel and although the service all staff offer is exceptional we noticed a number of corners being cut this year. For example there is no longer a turn down service and the transfer minibus is showing its age, with a non-functioning seatbelt - for the second year in a row! The hotel also needs to be more proactive in offering returning customers a better deal.

Fabulous resort for a great holiday!Posted Jul 24, 2013
Pros: The villa layout and facilities, pools, golf course.
Cons: Food at poolside
Location: Excellent, not walking distance but quick cab ride to Cascais centre, restaurants and shops.
Our villa was actually at the Onyria Hotel but we used both hotels and their facilities. My sons loved the golf driving range and the swimming pools. We had a fantastic stay and would love to return in the future. The staff especially the lifeguard at the Onyria were very helpful. Front desk staff super efficient at organising taxis, free shuttle to Cascais or between resorts etc. I must mention a few areas for improvement. Firstly, there was no room service at the villas which would be a problem for families with toddlers being forced to go out for dinner. Fortunately, my sons are past that stage and it wasn't an issue for us. Secondly, the menu at the pool side cafe at the Onyria needs to be improved to at least include some hot food like burgers, hot dogs etc. Cold baguettes and salads is not what I expect from a 5 star resort. Finally, the kids club was closed till the 22nd of July which was just the day after we left. Again, it wasn't an issue for us personally but it may be for other families. This should certainly have been made clear at the time of booking.
