Prime Location, Fantastic Value.Posted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: Staff, ambience, views, location, incredible value for money.
Cons: Wifi at 15 euros a day is very expensive although there is an internet point near reception which customers can use.
Location: Excellent location, National Palace opposite, tourist office around corner. Quinta da Regaleira 5 mins walk away. Buses around corner for castle/Pena
This is a lovely hotel in a prime location opposite the National Palace and the centre of the old town. The bar and lounge areas are beautiful. The reception are very helpful and welcoming. The rooms are large, well equiped, and have a charming 70s ambience about them. It is worth paying a little extra for a room with balcony overlooking the valley and the Moorish Castle. The beds are very comfortable and we slept very well. The bathrooms are well equiped with bath, shower over, bidet, large mirror etc. The supplied toiletries are of a good standard, you don't really need to bring shampoo, soap, body wash etc.

The Place to Stay in Sintra.Posted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: Wonderful balcony. Great breakfast with great views. Great location.
Cons: Cleaner carpet in room.
Location: Pena Palace, Regaleira, Monserrate, Sintra Palace, and many other organized day tours.
The Tivoli is the place to stay in Sintra. Staff is low-key but efficient. We had a less expensive room which had a city view. Our balcony view was of the Sintra Palace. It was fantastic. The breakfast was plentiful and coffee great. Sintra is a great place for a homebase.

Average hotel, but great value.Posted Jun 4, 2014
Pros: location and staff were helpful. Nice views from the dining areas.
Cons: Room need to be upgraded with new carpeting and bedding.
Location: Hop on the bus at the train station and got off at first stop. Hotel within walking distance. Could then retake the bus up to Pena and castle.
Great Location. The hotel was right next to the main city square and close to the bus stop and TI office. The room was a little dated and in need of upgrade or at least new carpet and bedding. Nice morning buffet but several items were cold. At the price we paid for one night stay it was a good value.

5 Day Break in SintraPosted Oct 12, 2013
Pros: Quiet and clean. The only meal I had at the Hotel was Breakfast which was great everything you wanted was there. Staff were polite and helpful.
Location: Hotel just off centre of square. Where there are cobbled streets with shops cafes and buses near by, also the Information Centre is not far away.
Had a wonderful time, Did lots of sight seeing, walks and a bus ride to the coast. Had a wedding on October4th 2013, that was a wonderful experience. Beautiful place to go. Very relaxing and felt very safe being as I did most of the sight seeing on my own. People were very nice, friendly and helpful. Eating out was great. Just can't fault my holiday at all.

Modern Hotel close to all of the sightsPosted Oct 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great balcony view over valley on back side of hotel. Comfortable lounge. Good restaurant. Breakfast buffet for 10 euros was worth it. One free WiFi computer available or pay for WiFi in room. Only about 12 parking spots on street and 12 small parking spots under hotel. National Palace across street. Short taxi ride to Pena Palace.

Slightly disappointedPosted Oct 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Having no free wifi anywhere in the hotel is unexpected, breakfast is not good so we did not use their breakfast and opt to go to the nearby pastereria. There is a linen store very close and also a ceramic store, walkable distance to a couple attractions. Near by restaurant called Tulhas has really good seafood. reasonable price and offer you you a shot of port after dinner.
