Hostel is in very good location with great view. I really enjoyed during my stay in Lisbon. Near hostel you can eat good and cheap food as there is many local places. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Perfectly clean and well fitted kitchen.

Was a little apprehensive about staying here after reading some of the reviewsand in fact first appearances did nothing to alter this. Entrance not wecoming. Industrial rubber floor covering. Reception up several flights of stairs. BUT staff efficient and friendly. Room basic but spotlessly clean. No food but surrounded by restaurants. Snack bar for breakfast and other meals just outside. 2 minutes walk from trams, buses, mrtro and Rossio station for the train to Sintra. Excellent value for money.

We were looking for a nice place not pricy where to stay near Casacai with two children, and the place was perfect.
The personal atention of the owner was really nice. There was plenty of space to park outside in street free of charge.
The room include an extra bed for the children.

Last night of our week in portugal and sweet lisbon guesthouse ended our holiday in style. Don't be fooled by the dark office building like entrance, this guesthouse is a haven in the centre of old town lisbon.

Nice hotel set in a quiet residential location, but just round the corner are a host of cafe/bars and restaurants, offering good quality and service at out of town prices. It's a good, but pleasant walk into Lisbon, or take the metro about 200m away. We were offered the continental breakfast, however, with a small Lidl just over the road, fresh bread (in house bakery) and lots of fruit a good alternative, also a good place to buy good cheap local wine for home.
The metro is a real bonus, the hotel being at the opposite end to the aeroporto, and good links to the main rail stations.
Rooms were cleaned daily and we had plenty of fresh towels - the Reception staff were friendly and offered good advice about the locality.
Overall the Italia and Lisbon a good choice for a week's break

This is a place that we would definitely return to. The hosts are most welcoming and the guesthouse indeed has plenty of charm. The rooms are comfortable and the pool is a fantastic place to pass the time of day. The breakfasts are spot on and we could not fimd fault anywhere. Not that we even bothered looking! My wife is pregnant and on leaving, our hostess Suzanna gave us a little gift for the baby (a sweet babygrow)... when does that ever happen in this day and age. Wonderful....
