Nice stay in Lavra Guest House

Posted Nov 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Lavra Guest House is a nice place to stay if you would like to be near Rossio but away from the crowd. Having no elevator was a bit hard at this place, and the room was tiny, but for how much you pay it was reasonable. The staff was lovely.

Comfortable hotel in a great location

Posted Nov 6, 2011
We were very happy with this hotel. The staff were fantastic and made us feel really welcome straight away. They were happy to answer all our questions about Lisbon and the surrounding area, gave us maps and other useful information and were all around extremely pleasant to deal with. The room was clean and comfortable enough, although the standard rooms are a bit small. We liked the location too as it only a short walk down to the main center of town, but away from the noise. Overall we thought it was great value for such a centrally located hotel.

Horrible first introduction

Posted Oct 6, 2011 on Hotels.com
I took the longest way to get to this hotel and when I got to it, there was no one at reception. When someone finally came after waiting for 15 min, he looked at me as if I did something wrong. I felt super uncomfortable and I wanted to leave. The place in itself was nice but at night time it is not conviently located to walk back to alone. It was really dark to even see around to where I was staying. The place was better in the daytime for sure. There was not a ceiling fan. The towels were stained. It was not specified that the internet access was only in reception. I would not recommend it but I'm sure it would be great for a couple.
