Great if you're looking for a party...

Posted Oct 12, 2012
Pros: The A/C was great, Lisbon gets warm even in early October. The washing machine was essential to a long stay.
Cons: Proximity to the bar across the street, loud partying into the night, and the less than great bathroom.
Location: Great location for the Barrio Alto, teeming with bars and restaurants. Within walking distance to the trendy Baixa-Chiado tube stop and shopping.
Great location in the Barrio Alto district of Lisbon. The apartment had some great features like A/C, dishwasher, washing machine, espresso maker etc. Depending on the apartment you get, it comes with small balcony that looks onto the street bustling with restaurants & bars. Downside: Had to call Lisbon Apartments to get the codes to enter building the day off check-in even though your reservation says they will email the codes 2 days in advance. Shower curtain in the bathroom was red with mold and obviously needed to be changed. The apartment door to get into the whole building is across from a bar that caters to a young crowd with limited funds (hence the 1 euro shots of booze) that stand on the street including the apartment doorway to get in to the building. Plus, you have to enter the entry code with 30 people standing around. The crowd on the street can be quite loud and the next morning you have to wade through garbage and leftovers from the previous nights' party.

Happening Location

Posted Oct 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
During the day, nice and quiet. At night, very loud. There are little bars everywhere and one right outside the front door. So be prepared for crowds and noise at night into the wee hours. Windows are pretty good to block out some of it and the higher up you are the better. We stayed there twice during the same trip; the first apt. was on the 3rd floor and the second was on the 2nd floor. The problem with the 3rd fl. apt. was the shower - pressure was horrible and the air conditioner in the main living area did not work well but the one in the bedroom was excellent. A lot of nice conveniences in the apt. like a coffee maker, full kitchen with dishes and pots, etc. Overall, I liked the place and would consider staying there again. The second floor apt. had mold in the bathroom but the water pressure was great! Also both air conditioning units worked really well. It's cool how they give you a code for the front door and one for the apt. so you can come and go as you please. I just wish they had an on-site person like a regular hotel to ask questions about what to see, where to go. They do have a vitual reception desk by just picking up the phone by the front door but it was hard to hear the person on the other end.

Great Location and busy, noisy at night

Posted Oct 2, 2012 on Hotels.com
overall stay was pretty decent, at first one is taken a back, as there is no reception, the place seems almost in the middle of everything and service is remote via the phone at the door. you do not meet anyone, you just get codes from the guy. location is great, little bit of walk to the metro, but then great places to eat, drink and even a big mall if you fancy that. since it is the hub of a bunch of street parties, it will get noisy, so if you need to sleep on time and have a quiet setting - this is not the place. Our apartment was just Ok, window screen were dirty, shower curtains had mold and the shower itself not very good. given the reasonable price, might give it another shot.

Central location, clean, comfortable...and noisy

Posted Sep 30, 2012 on Hotels.com
Central location in the heart of a party area, this lovely bunker of cleanliness and contemporary comfort is perfect if you have earplugs or can sleep through noise. We were surprised how loud the street noise was, but we popped in ear plugs and slept just fine. Walking distance to everything. Would stay here again.

Great Neighborhood for Nightlife

Posted Aug 14, 2012 on Hotels.com
The apartment was great and conveniently located in an awesome area to go out in at night - bars and restaurants were literally right out the front door and it was a lively, fun scene. During the day, it was very quiet, but the location was definitely convenient to do sightseeing/get to transportation. The walk to the main train station where we left from to go to Sintra for a day was about a 10 minute walk. The walk to the bus stop that we took to get to Belem was about a 15 minute walk. The actual hotel was a little unique in that they had a virtual front desk, so you picked up the phone in your room and someone answered, but didn't actually sit at the hotel. But they were very helpful and the room was very clean and well maintained. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Good for nightlife

Posted Jul 23, 2012
Pros: The room design modern and well planned
Cons: The night life on my doorstep
Location: Great if your trip is party all night and sleep all day
Very clean and well designed studio, with mostly all you would need for a comfortable stay. It's reception free so any assistance is via a telephone link that exists at the entrance. As long as your questions are straightforward this works. The apartments are right in the middle of Lisbons nightlife, with bars and restaurants literally on your doorstep everynight. If a quiet night sleep is what you are looking for bring earplugs or stay someplace else! It's because of this and the lack of kettle that I haven't given a higher overall score.

Excellent location, quiet by day, busy by night

Posted Jul 12, 2012 on Hotels.com
Excellent location - nice cobbled streets, bring a pair of comfortable trainers for all the walking as theyre very steep, we were on a stag doo so the location at night was absolutely ideal. The streets transform for quiet and sleepy in the day to busy and sociable by night.

Great location

Clean with great facilities within the apartment. Surrounded by restaurants and bars. Great location for those who like to be right in the heart of the Lisbon nightlife.
