Stylish hotel in a perfect locationPosted Nov 17, 2013
Pros: excellent location in the Alto/Chiado area. Very stylish decoration and nice ambience
Cons: change the Victoria Secret video which plays constantly in the bar and reception area
Location: Situated on the edge of the Alto so easy access to restaurants and bars. Easy walking distance to Rossio Square and the river.

Modern, Friendly & Great LocationPosted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: Incredible staff. Welcome mock-tails and a cool towel were a nice surprise at check-in. View of the castle. Location. Strong and free wifi.
Cons: Roof deck will be a huge plus when it opens. No walk-in shower. Breakfast is expensive if not included in room rate (but lots of options nearby).
Location: Unbeatable location with a quick walk to the metro, 28 tram, cafes and Santini's for ice cream.
At check in, we were greeted with a mocktail and a cool cloth to refresh while completing the formalities. Amount of maps and tourism recommendations was a bit much, bordering on overwhelming. Hotel staff was remarkable, even negotiating a refund of our HoHo bus tickets due to a disastrous experience. Room was tight but modern, and bed was comfortable with good bed and bath linens. Hotel is 3 minute walk to metro, 28 tram and restaurants, but still feels removed and quiet because it sits mid-way up the hill away from the action. Only negative was bill for several minibar items at checkout, which was promptly removed.

Excellent hotel, great location, friendly staffPosted Oct 4, 2013
Location: Bars and restaurants in Barrio Alto, main shopping area is also near by, wander the streets and get a vibe for city
Not to mention the perks that make you feel like a VIP, delicious welcome drink you'd expect in tropical resort, chocolate orange dessert delivered to your room after you check in, and when you leave a little leaving bag with snack, water and sweets. I didnt book a special rate so was very pleasant surprised by these little touches. Honestly, made me feel way more special than any other 5 star resort I've been to and I travel a lot! Also I know youre in Portugal so Asian food may not be first choice, but some tasty options in their restaurant, we kept re-ordering portions of the black cod!

Good location for a 3 night stay in LisbonPosted Sep 17, 2013
Good location for walking to nearby neighbourhoods. metro station is walking distance, and Cais do Sodre train station is less than 10 minutes walking distance. Bust stop for trams also next block away. There are many restaurants and bars to choose from from a few streets into the nearby Bairro Alto neighbourhood, and also the adjacent Baixa neighbourhood. As for the hotel; staff are very friendly and helpful and will offer advice on directions and which number tram to get depending on where you want to visit - all accessible by tram. My room was on the 4th floor opposite the lift, and I was initially worried about noise but it was minimal. bed was comfortable room decor is modern boutique style, my room was described a cosy..I think another for compact but as single occupant was ok for me. WiFi is available free but for limited period, then you have to sign up and pay. Mannequins in the front window make for a quirky feature. Overall, good spot if you want a decent room, didn't try any of the breakfast or bar facilities.

Fantastic StayPosted Sep 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Excellent hotel. Very modern though a bit on the trendy side. The layout of the room was a touch strange, lacking flow, however, the room was very nice and clean. The location, in my opinion, is the best in Lisbon. The hotel is walking distance to every place you want to be in the Bairro Alto. The hotel staff, especially the door man, was great, helping us out with some fantastic places to eat nearby and was happy to make us reservations for dinner. I highly recommend the Mercy hotel and would love to stay here again.

Wonderful hotel, fantastic location, great staffPosted Jul 24, 2013
Pros: The staff and location
Location: Perfectly located in the Bairro Alto district, near public transport and major attractions
The hotel is modern, spotlessly clean, interesting and luxurious with a great restuarant. It is very close to the Baixa/Chaido metro stop, the 28 Tram and the Bairro Alto - a perfect base to explore both the local district and the wider city. The staff are exceptional: friendly, knowledgable and spoke perfect English. We have stayed at many hotels worldwide for business and holidays, including all the major chains, and this Hotel really stands out in the crowd. We look forward to staying there again on our next trip to Lisbon

Fantastic location and near everything.Posted Jul 2, 2013
Pros: Location, staff and very clean.
We were happy with the Mercy- great location, clean and good breakfast. However, it is a rather dark hotel, black paint in hallways, but we really didn't spend much time there. The staff gave great suggestions, were friendly and I can't say enough about where it is. Around the corner is Liberade, but you feel like you are in a small Portugese neighborhood.

Amazing hotel in the heart of LisbonPosted Jun 15, 2013
Pros: Service, location, room size and decor
Location: Perfect spot to explore all Lisbon has to offer!
We have just returned from the Mercy where we were celebrating our honeymoon. We really just guessed when booking this hotel as the price was right, the pictures lovely and the location looked great. We don't always find this approach works when booking hotels- things often can seem better than they are. We were delighted to find the Mercy went above and beyond our expectations. The service was some of the best I've experienced - and I worked in the business for over 10 years. The location was a perfect place to explore Lisbon- and the size and style of the room was so tasteful, modern and clean. I feel lucky to have stayed at this property, I'm sure it won't stay this affordable for long once the rest of the world finds out about it.
